  • No secret ingredients, no gimmicks; this is a mock scrape recipe that gets down to the easy basics, and works. Jeff has been creating natural mock scrapes since the early 2000's and this system describes all of the ingredients you need to be highly attractive for mature bucks. Be sure to watch to the end to see how quickly the local bucks make this one of their favorite portions of the habitat. I used this a couple weekends ago in the UP to set up a scrape line of 4 along the backside of our property to hopefully keep the bucks away from the neighbors, within a week we had deer using all 4! Thanks for the information!

Man I want sure about these mock scrapes but I decided to give it a shot. I live in Florida and we traveled to Kansas and Missouri with vines in the back of our truck. We have so many pics on scrapes it’s ridiculous. Thanks so much for the videos

Jeff I really enjoy your videos, so much info. Implemented the waterholes on the farm last year and wow. This year I've put in three mock scrape vines with the water holes.

I have some rack wax that I use for dog training for finding sheds in the spring, would it be beneficial to wipe some of this on the licking branch?

How far should the cam be from the licking branch? I've hidden the camera itself using a split trunk, it's just above my head height, but the deer still seem wary to step into the scrape.

I put a mock scrape up this year for the first time, and they’re using it! BUT…. They snapped it in half. Right after they did, they were on their hind legs rubbing it! Do I lower it? Or replace it? Or just leave it high?

Pretty new to deer hunting have a few questions. What did you put on the vine or did you put anything on it and human urin doesn’t bother them in the scrape

Is there a desired location for the scrape when you hunt over a bait pile? Just within shooting range?
