Well this is a pleasant surprise! Your video on Beyblade was the sole reason a scene for that game developed in my area, and I'd love for this video to have the same impact on a game I've loved since childhood. It's been a wild ride trying to get heroscape's reboot to stick the landing, but I'm so excited to see where it can go in the future! Also, slight detail you missed :). You can actually buy "premium" versions of all the sets, that come with fully pre-painted figures! They're online purchases (usually direct from Renegade) at a higher price point, targeted to adult fans who want to just play right out of the box. There was no shortage of people upset by the haslab not giving them pre-painted options, and arguably is one of the big reasons it failed. But the problem is solved now!
Glad to hear I was able to help Beyblade get a foothold with y'all, would definitely love it if we can see a repeat with Heroscape! Also definitely cool to know that pre-painted is at least still an option. The road to get to release was definitely slippery but hopefully now things will start to smooth out and we can have a proper second coming.
Heroscape was one of the first things I remember saving up my childhood birthday money to buy. I loved it so much and some of my favorite memories was building maps to play with my dad. I never knew that there was more to it than the master set until I moved away for college and started buying up all I could find on Craigslist. Now that its back, I'm so excited that I might finally be able to share it with more people. I also started mini painting because of the new set. A whole new hobby opened up for me.
I have a lot of memories with heroscape. I had a rather large collection and then sold it. If you have kids and like the game get it for them. It will be a good way to build some memories
glad to hear this! youre totally new in my recs, ive never played a war game, but i do love renegade games' transformers rpg and deck games, so hearing all this makes me wanna dive into it! im glad your childhood white whale fell right into your lap
Well thanks for taking a chance on a video from a channel you've never seen! I've been sitting on copies of some of Renegade's other stuff for a while now that I've been meaning to get around to, but even though I haven't actually played any of them yet I can confirm that their flair for visual design is great. Everything I've seen from the studio just oozes flavor.
This is a really solid overview!! Makes me want to play another match soon.
Also how dare you speak of me. Unforgivable.
I have been having a good time painting these figures. Great review! Subbed
The Heroquest reference was perfect
The Broadsword!
