They give you the film (negatives) back because you can scan them to have the images on your computer. Or if you want a certain picture reprinted you bring the negative/film back to the store and they can reprint it
everyone who’s watching this, it’s a lot better developing film yourself. it’s fun, you save money, and you’ll learn something new that not many others know how to do.
Also fun fact is that I used to take a photography class freshmen year of high school and I learned how to develop film. But it was in a dark room and they had professional equipment. I don’t really remember the process 😂
Michelle Fausto the way i started was by watching videos on how to develop film, specifically Willem Verbeeck’s video on youtube. Then i just bought the supplies and followed his instructions. honestly, it’s a trial and error process. you learn it the more you do it
haha same, it took me a while before I went to develop it, it’s great because you forget what you took so when you get them back, you get to see all the memories. Hope your photos turn out great!
I understand how she said the disposable cameras can be expensive but so can Polaroids. As well as the cost for the Polaroid camera you have to pay for film quite frequently. Film costs me about $13 not counting shipping and I only get 10 photos. I do like my Polaroid but I’m also thinking about trying out disposable cameras since they give off a really good vibe. I guess it’s all personal preference 🤷🏻♀️
I totally agree! At the end, both cost about the same. I’ve actually bought a Polaroid camera, and for me, both have pros and cons. I like the Polaroid because it’s really meaningful and cute to stick to your laptop or phone case. Meanwhile, disposables are great for general photography and the overall effect. You should try both because it’s always down to personal preference😊
I got the same disposable camera and I only have 3 films left and I can’t wait to get them developed! Was curious how the quality looks and now I have an idea from this vid. Thanks! But one question, do they get to see every film/photo in it?
i have a disposable camera that’s been sitting around for 7 years and i took sum pics with it on a 5th grade field trip😭 I’m a senior now, I need to definitely get it developed to look back😩😂
Will Arthur no Copyright is a process. I’m guessing they give it back because you can print them out again through the negatives. The negatives are the “original”

I just went and asked for both the scanning of the camera film and the developing. And yes, I just gave my camera to them, and depending on the store, it takes 1hr-1 week.
the disposable camera has 27 prints and you take photos of anything you like. The problem is that once the photo is taken, you can't delete it and redo. The developing store you go to will develop all the prints for you. Hope this helps:)
yes! I totally recommend flash since flash is one of the key differences between film and digital film. I used flash for all my photos since it just gives off a different filter/vibe than flash on a regular camera😊
do you have any idea why the camera was broken when you asked for it? Is that the case with every store you go to? I'm trying to get into disposable cameras but I would want to keep the actual camera for like decoration or something once I would be done with it lol :/ Also great video!
hi! the camera was broken when I asked for it because they have to take out the film roll which the opening is located at the bottom. The camera has to be “broken into” in order to get the film developed. My suggestion is either getting a Polaroid camera since those are good decoration pieces or asking the store for the case because unless somebody looks at the bottom of the camera, it still would look good as a decoration piece. Hope this helps!
If you go to a specific camera store, it might be possible but I don’t think so. I recently just got a polaroid camera so I might make a video on my experience with that since it’s quite different from the disposable camera
It costed about 20$:/ but it costed 5$ to have online photo version and about 10$ for the actual developing of the prints. I just asked for the normal develop+print service. Hope the helps😊
At my store, it would cost 5$ but it all depends on the store. I recommend calling a few store since I called at least 10 before I chose mine:)also, sometimes they will send the prints to your email or you will have to bring a cd

Hi! Once you finish the film camera, you need to go to a store like a photography shop or a store that offers these services. Depending on the store, they have different ways of giving the digital copies(through a CD, USB or through email) which is why I recommend you research the stores near you. If you choose a store that gives you a CD or USB. Plug the CD or USB into a computer. Download to your desktop, and from there, you can send them to your phone.
