  • Are you tired of your lifted CJ darting all over the road when you hit bumps? Quick and easy fix that will help improve your draglink angle and reduce bump steer and steering wheel feedback when hitting bumps. In this video I flip the draglink on the CJ5 project. There are other ways to address steering geometry such as a drop pitman arm but I felt the draglink flip was the easiest way to achieve improvement. I used OK4WD's kit which is simply 3 tapered sleeves and a reaming tool. The complete kit is so you can flip the tierod as well gaining about 3" of extra clearance. In this video we just go over the flipping of the draglink, though the tierod is the exact same process. The kit is not cheap, coming in at about 180 dollars but for anyone who has a reaming tool the 3 sleeves are less than 20 bucks. I found plenty of ball joint reaming tools online and if you buy one off amazon or another vendor you can get them as cheap as about 50 dollars. This would bring the price of the kit down to about $70 or so. The reamer has to be a 1.5" TPF to work for ball joints. I'll put some links below.
