I assumed they just messed with the Scar's bloom because I didn't really notice a difference in close range fights. The blue circle that appears when you shoot someone also kinda throws me off.

i knew something was off while aiming with the red eye AR, it was very difficult to aim with it
I actually had the same situation except opposite! My aim felt amazing with the red eye but my scar aim💀

For real it was so weird i had a glitch where with the red eye ar everytime I aimed the red dot wouldn't show and it threw me off
True even I am having that problem on PC. The SCAR just feels off. Like I have my reticle directly on the enemy & it isn't even dealing any damage

@@ZGDX_Smiling_ I can’t explain it very well, but when you aim at the guy coming towards you the bullets doesn’t always, u have to aim slightly to the side.

@@brett6626 That was a thing in the last chapter of Season 22. I had to aim off to the side. People won't say stuff like that in videos because no one notice it at all.
The aim is also weird on PC. They messed up everyone's aim. I tried this for PC and it did not help.

It took over 8 minutes for you to tell us to change damage numbers to list, and reticle damage feedback to off…
yo Tabor, this was a HUGE correction for me as I'm an older guy (52), don't have the best vision, and also have pretty bad ADHD, so these first couple of weeks of the new Island have been BRUTAL for me. After I made this correction I finished 2nd/1st/1st in three drops... ~O_o~ Now I know I'm not going to run the table from here on out, but now that I can use the s.c.a.r. & DMR effectively, it's definitely helped level the playing field in most of my 1 on 1 brawls/engagement. The glitch also appears to effect PC with controller from what I've tested

Yes it does, because I noticed it too. The first day of the chapter. Within my first 2 games, I told my friends that something felt off with the aim and it felt like the Red Eye AR, didn’t have any aim assist. And in some games, it felt like I didn’t have any aim assist at all with any weapon.

Idk what happened but something changed and my aim has never been better
I play on Xbox and I'm always switching between my aiming options because I've the very thing you were talking about aim being all over the place. I agree 100% about playing on controller because when I aim at a player from far distance my aim is all over the place. That's why I'm always fooling around with my sensitivity settings and advanced options for better aim. I do regularly play on exponential but I'm going to try linear.
I always have used linear, I tried expo for the last week of chapter 3 and it just didn't feel right
I would recommend NOT changing your sensitivity level. If anything, start at a place that is comfortable. Then slowly raise it (like after several sessions of playing raise it a couple percentage points) to where you can still hit your shots. That's what I did and I am chilling around 51% on exponential right now. Can't remember what my boost is. I think around 12% or something. It's fast enough to barely do a full 360 on a normal jump, which for me is good enough to flick on people fast enough to defend against unexpected fights.
@@elbee1771 Have you always played on expo? I only play on zero builds and I have only ever played on linear
Exponential is your problem. Enable the link between your hand and brain with linear. Default sens but 32 horizontal boost. You’re welcome
Same but you get used to it. Expo is better for long distance fights and linear is better for more close rang box fights but in a regular Fortnite game it's more or so free building and now with hammers people just run away so I think expo is the way to go.

Man tabor .. appreciate the info.. I have about ten wins and that same thing has been happening to me. Also I have notice some hackers in games also this seasons.. I have gotten several accounts reported that the actions of these accounts, just didn't line up with normal play mechanics and epic actually has taken note and action which is nice..
The hackers keep coming back with new accounts and they can have any skin they want with their stupid hacks.
I hope they fix whatever issue this is because I much prefer the cumulative damage number

Playing with aim assist becomes an instinct, you integrate it into your play style so once it's gone, you feel like your playing on keyboard and mouse.
I turned it off months ago bc my aim sucks and I knew that's the only way I could actually get better. Never did turn it back on and now I'm actually pretty cracked, just got my 10th crown today
@@emma6648 wrong, as you can clearly see in the video aim assist is so slight its barely noticeable, I turned my aim assist off after having it on for years, and my aim didn't feel any different, I was still hitting just as many of my shots as I was with aim assist.

I definitely noticed this day 1 trying to get my solo win & it made me rage & at first hate the “new scar & new chapter” luckily i got my win thx to the rpg anyways hopefully epic fixes this bug with aim assist i like the new aiming features but i truly need aim assist especially when i panic & start to shake😂 (thx tabor for letting us know!)
The scar is overall good with the spread but yeah aiming far sights is a pain in the butt

As a kid who plays keyboard and mouse on a Xbox series s with 120fps and have a lot of Friends who play on controller and they have notice a slight difference with aim assist thanks for the help for the controller players,also I wanna add I think playing on controller takes more skin than keyboard and mouse so I will always have respect for controller players have a good day to who ever reads this comment

I think it's because most of the weapons are shit this season..lol. I love the new map but the only really fun weapon is the Excalibur and even with that the aim feels off. I want my regular piston and sniper guns back.

My aim on PC has felt weird as well, maybe something going on here? Also feels like a delay between inputs has made hitting shots and building a whole lot harder.
same, but not only that, also when aiming, sometimes the crosshair goes crazy and moves without me doing anything, like a random flick shot. i thought it was my mouse, but no :/
@@95benjix it could be you just have bad drift but I think it could also be a setting you might have on where it resets your crosshair axis or something similar, I noticed it in the gear controller tab when I would be changing my sens, probably check your binds to see if you have something set to reset axis.

I have lost so many matches since this new chapter. I have the crosshairs of the scar perfectly on the opponent and I shoot and I am getting no damage at all. It was making me extremely mad. I hope this fixes my issue.

I might be crazy, but it seems like my aim improved after changing the settings. I no longer have potato aim; I have tomato aim. 😂 I also changed my sensitivity closer to the one in the screenshot/video.

Thanks for mentioning this Tabor. I’m decent at the game and I thought something was off when I playing team rumble and had a harder time getting the AR and shotgun expert accolades compared to normal because players are regularly respawning full health and no shields.

Whenever I used the scar it felt like the game purposefully made all of the bullets miss even though I'm up in the enemies face, tho this might also help
I was same. I put the scar right on opponents chest from maybe 1 tile away and at best 1 of 4 bullets would hit. I was getting smokes by everyone
I noticed something was off...the red eye should be a great gun, I prefer the scoped assaults better than the DMR's, and I hate it. I hope this helps fix the issue. Thank you for this.

Tabor, is this a controller problem or a console problem? I’m using PC on controller for the better fps.
Update 2 mins later. It really is true. This fixed it! They must not have added aim assist to the new settings. Until they add aim assist to the new settings I’m sticking to the old ones. Thanks for pointing this out. Also this is ALSO ON PC using controller obviously.

This was such a great video. My aim was a already good but this made it 10 times better and you are right. It is hard to aim in controller when you just have the pin point just suddenly turns.

Right from the start of Chapter 4 I noticed a difference with aiming on my PS5 and have been looking for a solution. I’ve just added your adjustments to see if there is any improvement. I’ll reply shortly with my findings - Adam 🎮😉

I understand aim assist is op on pc,but we really need it on console😩
It’s so powerful on PC because of their high frame rates I believe. Like I’ve solely been a console player for the last 18 years I’ve been gaming and my aim assist has NEVER been this magic aimbot shit these dudes claim and I’ve noticed the guys saying this are usually people on computers that also test the aim assist strength when trying to make their points about how strong it is on their beefy computers. I’m over here at 60 frames barely keeping up with the Pc people in my lobbies, like I’m winning these super sweaty fights BARELY yet my aim assist is supposedly an advantage that needs nerfed into oblivion.

I actually like the new design when u shot someone the number would stack and when u get a hitmarker on shield a blue circle will appear and if u hitmarker for heath then it will be red
