    I jammed with my
trombone alongside Ed in Sacramento Festival in 1991 with Riverboat Stompers, Italy. I was rather shy..🙂 great Hubble more than the telescope!

I first heard Eddie Hubble in Decatur, IL at the jazz fest in 1978. He blew the roof off, at the jam sessions. Everybody agreed he was the strongest trombonist there. Years later, I was able to perform with him a few times in Upstate, NY. He lived in the Albany, NY area. I've been fortunate to have played with almost all of these guys. This is a great video, and I've never seen it before!

Thanks a lot for this wonderful concert ! I hope everyone appreciates that Warren Vaché is ouding more incisive than usual in tribute to Wild Bill. They are all in great shape, and powered by a fantastic rythm section, as can be expected with Jake Hannah on the drums.

I grew up with all of these musicians in our household. My dad, Red Balaban played with most if not all of these great musicians. The Hubbles gave our family all of the Siamese cats we had in our household over the decades(Balaban and Cats = Brandy, Addie, Harry & Elmer...maybe a few more here and there) Wild Bill Davidson, Bob Casey, Warren Vache, Ed Polcer, Kenny Davern, John Windhurst, Dick Rath, Marquis Foster, Gim Burton, Gene Krupa, Herb Hall, Vic Dickenson, Ronnie Cole, Frank Tate, Jim Andrews, Dick Wellstood, also Joel Schiavone, Tony Pasqualoni, Charles Weyant, Ernie Hackett, Maureen Cunninghame, Art Hovey, Gary Holman, C.G Burton, Danny D'Imperio and Paul Boehmke... Some of the many friends/musicians that came and went out of our house on the farm in the Florida panhandle before we moved to Connecticut in 1967 when my dad started playing with Your Father's Mustache at the NY Mets games and at the nightclub and then when he opened Eddie Condon's on W 54th street. Ending up at Aunt Chilada's in Connecticut all the way until my dad passed in 2013 Good memories.

Your father made so much excellent music possible! I ws at Your Father's Mustache as often as my college-budget could afford (summer 1972) and then at the later Condon's.

Eddie Hubble played along with Pee Wee Erwin & Friends at our High School back in 1977. He's been a favorite ever since. The following year, Kenny Davern played. How fortunate we were to have these jazz legends (along with Derek Smith, Major Holley and Bobby Rosengarden) entertain and inspire us in our youth.
Here is Eddie doing a solo rendition of Shine from the concert. ruclips.net/video/lIqEGTpyfzY/видео.html
    Enjoy.
