I have to say thank you for this. I borrowed the idea from you and used it in my regen receiver that has a different schematic, but the AF amp is pretty much the same. OMG that 100nF from pin 2 to gnd in my case makes miracles with the audio hahaha. Thank you so much. I tried using another one on the first stage before the AF amp, but it's cutting too much of the audio level that goes into the AF amp, so I'm using 4.7nF instead. Even though with 100nF sounds simply magical and clean ))... 73. I really want to try this one as well later one.

I guess it makes sense because pin 4 and 5 will have RF still too, and the lm386 probably rectifies that and amplifies it too or such, so it has to be bypassed to ground.

Hi, how are you able to determine the number of turns on the antenna side of the T50-2?It appears from the number of turns on the secondary and the 560pf it should resonate in the 80M band and that can be calculated from an online calculator.

They are MePADS and MeSQUARES from QRPMe. I glue them on with superglue in the gel form (the liquid form is too runny).

Yes you can. I built a similar receiver using a 1N4001 diode as a varicap. Try what you have.
