Just to make it clear, Oman was never weak, and the UK wasn't the reason that the Portuguese force was kicked out of Oman and the Middle East in general.. Omani people were the ones who kicked the Portuguese out of the Middle East, and the UAE wasn't even a country back then, Oman was and still the strongest country in the Middle East.
