Toni, looking at the specs online this Stereo Integrated Amplifier it's 35W per channel with a THD of 0.1%. Does changing these capacitors improve the THD?
Here depends on what this amp means to you. So my friend really wanted to do all this recap so this mean the amp really is important for him. Anyway after I changed all capacitors performs really good.

Yes I did enjoy watching this video. 😄 I don't know what it is but there is some good feeling when we fix something instead of throwing it away. Was this a job you did for some body or for yourself? This is a nice piece of equipment. It's from an era when quality was much better. It's also from an era when labour was much cheaper.
@@SymbolTech21 oh very good ! I see you are using a desoldering gun. It's very handy piece of equipment. I'll buy one myself one day it makes replacement of caps much easier. I use braided copper, a soldering iron and tacky flux which works but expensive way of doing it. 🤔
@@decem_unosquattro9538 yes suck the solder from the joints and leave the holes clean and empty to can easy take out the components and insert new ones!
Very interesting and Very nice amp! I'm interesting in the same TA 1140, there is one on sale near my town, do you recommend it for listening vinyl? In my town there are no technicians to do a recap like you did, so this amp in his original state, worth it? Thanks!
Is a good amp but have his age and the capacitors definitely need refreshed. If you have a soldering iron and tools to desolder the old caps following my video and first look inside for all the capacitors values and order them is a really easy job to change all the caps

If you will do the same job you will notice an improvement on its sound

Almost the distortions comes from capacitors. So better quality capacitors less distortion
For the filter caps, what where the dimenions?

Can I connect a passive subwoofer or an active subwoofer in this?
This is just stereo 2 channels and use normal passive speakers that covers all frequency
Please measure and report the capacitance, the ESR and the leak current of the old caps.
