After playing through the Yu-Gi-Oh! Pokemon romhack, I decided to find other weird and interesting ways to play Yu-Gi-Oh! which lead me to this random Minecraft server that I found. I wasn't disappointed...

What are the mods required?
@@nightslayer2297 You can find them either by using the technic launcher, or downloading them directly from the discord server if you just want to use forge with the normal minecraft launcher (or any launcher that can use forge).

In my opinion, one of the more interesting ways to plays YGO is actually on Roblox
There's a YGO game on there that's basically just DuelingBook with a hub world, but you can also customize your duel disk (which is a surprisingly niche feature), but also, you can perform Shadow Duels
These Shadow Duels use special relics that provide certain effects during the duel. One of which, for example, is the Millennium Ring, which summons Zorc Necrophades (a custom card, not the ritual), a monster with 5000/5000 who is immune to card effects and can only leave the field by battle, but you lose the duel if he leaves the field. This is one of the worst relics in the game
The most fun one is actually the staff used by Number 7: Lucky Straight, which allows you to control every single die roll after you draw your initial hand. The dev team is also really on top of ensuring that these relics don't break the game, adding erratas where necessary, ensuring you can't use the relic in the event that you have a card that would absolutely break it (such as a relic that gives you every single Number Monster, as well as activating Number Wall, but it doesn't activate if you have Eater of Millions, to prevent the absurd ATK gain, or Banquet of Millions, to prevent the absurd LP gain), although most of these are through trial and error, so relics are likely going to be broken upon first release
In terms of interesting ways to play the game, this is the most interesting way I've seen. Kinda like Speed Duels, but much less tame, 'cause while Skills are often play extenders, Relics are meant to be plays of their own entirely
The only turn off is that the people who play the game seem to misinterpret rulings constantly. They're playing like adults for sure, but there's no real judge system, so players just kinda argue amongst themselves whether something is legal. I've seen this constantly with Red-Eyes Fusion specifically, people seem to think they can use it after they've summoned (the card itself, not through Verte)
If the game interests you, it's called "Dimension Duel X". It's genuinely worth trying out for an alternative way to play Yu-Gi-Oh, and it's one of the few games on Roblox that you can get good at for free, since the only micro-transactions are cosmetics
