- I wanted to SEE what would happen if you SEVERELY Overloaded a dump trailer. What Breaks first? Will the tires explode, axles snap or frame break? The best way to find out is to try it. So we put 50,000lbs on a dump trailer to see what will happen.
The Giveaway trailer is Here:Register for the trailer here: texaspridetrailers.com/traile... Развлечения
Cool test!
I believe I watched the same demonstration on your channel 6 months ago. Texas pride definitely has the dump trailer design mastered.
@@TermiteBenny yep that's what I was thinking too. Video started and I'm getting tons of deja vue lol
Haha, I think he was inspired by your video's!! Nice to see you here!
(EDIT): 5:53, looks like he gave you a shout-out! Nice!
Thank you! This video was inspired by the man himself JD!
What size what’s the last trailer ?
Rip the guy that has to jack them up loaded 😂
I’m a minute in and I already know this is a great video idea, good on you and Texas Pride for arranging this, clearly they have confidence and yes PRIDE in their trailers
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just opening that single door on the trailer had a quick ~1300lbs of rock spill out. Dang impressive trailer build!
Can’t get enough of your channel. Love the content. I’ve been home for the past month rehabbing from shoulder surgery and I have literally watched almost all your videos.
Bump the truck forward. It would have all slid out the back. Hooking up the fork lift was almost as unnecessary as unhitching the trailer for each weigh. (Instead of weighting the whole truck/trailer combo)
Impressive trailer and engineering , good to see ,
It says a lot about your character and integrity that you give credit to those that have it coming no matter what you are doing at any given time. That is one reason I watch your vids, they are honest and true in a pure form. Keep it up, go get em and God bless you.
Thank you Kevin
Would be nice to see these trailer with vibration motors to help release the load
I do believe they have that option. Or offer it.
I had 3 Texas Pride Trailers, great products, we hauled dirt, concrete, mini excavators and other items. Until DOT put us of service. I love their 14 and 16 PLY tires, very sturdy.
Stan looked more like you boys were trying to figure out how to tailgate in gravel with the dump trailer!!! Great video brother!
Thanks 👍
Thanks for sharing this, I'm actually in the market for a dump trailer hopefully by spring time we will have one 🙏🙏🙏
Best of luck!
WOW! 500,000 SUBSCRIBERS! Congratulations! That's awesome! Great content works wonders, huh? Keep up the great work. God bless.
All right, I'm sold. I'm buying one wooden telescopic cylinder from Texas Pride. Phenomenal video and good on Texas Pride for allowing you to beat up their trailer for testing. This was awesome from both you and Texas Pride. I'm sold!
Sweet tyre review!
LOL @ the "Bumpy Road" repair technique- if it works, it works.
I’ve owned 15 texas pride dump trailer, only payed for 8. They don’t build the best but the back there work. Iv had sides fail, the bottom broke from the walls and bend when I was dumping, had one caught fire 30 minutes after I picked it up. Anytime I had a problem I call them up and they took care of me. Definitely worth the price. Love them.
Makes me wanna buy one. Or not!!!!! With all those issues I would definitely look elsewhere at other brands.
Should of put those forks together and in the middle 😎 great video guys 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
I would love to see this same test with a bumper pull and see if it will have different results than the 5th wheel
Not a 5th wheel. It’s a goose neck. But yes I agree.
That's a blue Texas sky. You shot this in Texas, nice.
These trailers will be on sale next week "never used yard demo" :)
I'd buy them still! They didn't break with 30,000+ pounds there not going to break with only 16k
Kyle Kroschel they could have cracked the frame
I’ll still buy it lol
Lol
@@lancethomas4566 no they don't! They come with warranty aways 😂😂
500K Subs!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
Says a lot that the ole f450 can even move that trailer
There rated to tow like 35,000 down the road. This is just a little bit overloaded.
I've seen a 450 pull a 20 ton excavator on a 30k trailer a few miles up the rd haha.
‘05 F450 pulled over 40k all the time and now has over 350k miles on a 6.0 PowerStroke and they claim these engines suck but I just now recently replace the egr and oil cooler. 💪
Only 8 months late but still a great video, thank you to everyone involved creating it. 💯😎
9:43 I heard the trailer groan just like I do when I do something similar every morning. 😆
Great video, Stan!
Glad you enjoyed it
Texas pride makes the best trailers on the market.
I wouldn’t say this is a proper test of what they can handle since they trailer can’t dump the load by itself.
Well that's the point, they need a more heavy duty telescoping Jack, the test worked! Then they can try again!
It's basically a proof test to demonstrate that if these can handle well over what they are rated for they should be able to handle any realistic situation you would put them through.
That was so much fun Stanley! We're not sure if it was as fun for Brad, but hey, we love pushing these trailers too. Thanks for coming on down to play in the dirt and we can't wait to see the trailer build! And good luck to everyone in the contest, that is one beautiful trailer in Dirtmonkey Orange!
Imagine the fine they would get if they tried going down the road with that load :)
Love the color choice on your trailer!
Thanks Brother!
Congrats 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 have a good one
Fascinating.
Now you'll make a million subscribers in no time! It's a RUclips phenomenon!
Maybe someday
@@Dirtmonkey Stay positive! Think BIG! SOME DAY SOON!
nice trailer well built and great test
agreed
Dang, thats impressive!!!!
It was crazy!
i have one on order.. it should ready next week...
My trailer went through this torture when I let my dad load it with out my supervision
I have three of their trailers. I've been really happy with them. I've had about 20 dump trailers over the years for my roofing company. Texas pride sold direct and let me spec exactly what I wanted.
Very Cool Steve
Hi a question...
Which hoist you got better experience ?
Dual, telescopic or the scissor hoist?
Texas pride best ones out there
These trailers are beasts
agreed
Man we put that on a tandem dump here LOL. Great video man
nice trailers
Honeslty I’m more impressed that the truck was able to hold that with out bottoming out. I tow heavy with a 450 everyday and I’m no where near 50k
They didn’t pull it down the road.
Have some common sense 12klb truck holding down 50k?
Dodge is more strong truck!
Big truck big rv did this too and it was unbelievable!... Texas pride looks to be the best trailers built in the market!
and he already said that
They make some awesome trailers, but come on... the most annoying part of a dump trailer is having to chain the doors open to dump. PJ has a auto lock door, that is enough to sell me. Texas pride, make the perfect trailer, please!
ouch! Stan, let me know when I can come down and get my Texas Pride trailer.....
Why were you disconnecting the trailer each time you weighed? Why not weigh the truck and empty trailer together, then subtract that from the total loaded weight?
Because that would make to much since.
2:00 nice truck
Amazing
Thanks
I was watching laughing because a 60mph bump with 20k is equal to what axels and tires were dealing with that slow at 60k combined. Someone correct the math if they know haha. I was like that trailer is fine! Hahahaha
Exactly. Let's see that trailer hit a bump at 20mph while carrying that 50,000lb.
But still, very impressive that they can hold and partially lift so much weight.
That would be catastrophic probably. At least bent axels. Usually double gvw+bump at 60 is catastrophic. In this case 32k gvw load+trailer. My expierence says double weight good hard bump at 60 bends axels and snaps leaf springs. Just my expierence with 3500# axel and a 12k trailer with 2 5k axels. Now we have safe equipment lol
I bet it would explode if it hit at 20 mph
We use a load trailer at the tree company i work for as long as the battery is charged we never have a issue with dumping and we load that thing to the max (past the legal drive limit)
I'm in the market for a trailer for tree work. What are the specs on that load trail?
Good video
Sounds like fun that's the way I like dealing with things make it right and take it to the max but yeah sounds like you're going to break it either way the quote Tim the toolman Taylor more power
Stan: There's not much more we can do to push this thing...
Me: I know... FILL IT WITH SAND ;)
Nice. Can't forget the Ford F450 Super Duty that was moving it around either without any issues. Tough equipment all the way around!
I didnt think it is impressive every car today has enough power to spin wheels in first gear the amount of weigh a vehicle can pull is only limited by the traction of the tires.
What axles was on the trailer with the telescopic lift?
The scary thing. Some idiot will see this video and say ahh hell it can hold 25 ton! load that baby down! Then hit the road and kill someone. They don’t understand this is a extreme test for durability not actual use.
Really cool to see them build a trailer heavy enough to handle the weight so when it’s at its max GVW it won’t have any issues.
I thought that trailer would have collapsed but not a thing wrong with it.
Man we just started making dump trailers at work. Bumper pulls with 15 thousand lbs loaded rating.
Ours has a dual ram straight lift.
I had a Texas pride dump trailer. It was the best trailer I ever had.
cool!
Unless you max the scale out, you could have saved a lot of time weighing both the truck and trailer. It didn't look too long or too wide.
Tare the truck, tare the trailer, then the combo to check, then fill it up.
Good test though, I've been looking to get one of these since demo ranch. Now I'm ready to pull the trigger between you, big truck, and demo. Thanks man
Good point
I’m getting a Texas Pride 30k dump. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
Can you post the specs please of the trailer you built and possibly the price OTD? I am looking to buy one and like the setup you have for sure!
Damn my man got KRATOS on the wall!
Yeszir..
yes sir
Congrats on the 500K Stan!
Those high sidewall trailers are meant for garbage demolition. Not aggregates!
agreed
Nothing appears damaged but what about being twisted, spindles being bent, or hydraulics durability??? I'd be more interested in seeing its long term durability of abuse and rust over whether a brand new trailer can lift 10-15 ton past its legal limit. Stan im from MN too. Unless a dump trailer is pulled fresh off the lot every one of them in service is scratched, dented, rusted, or in no way looks brand new!
Thats a Great point. I wonder how they would hold up long term after being so thoroughly overloaded
The fact they are willing to have you load them till they fail... Shows they take pride in what they build and are willing to work to make it better if they do
Thats what I thought as well
Man how bad we need a dump trailer
Or if you could give the specs an build info on the last trailer tested that would be awesome!!
What is the axle rating and what size hoist is on it????
8 k axles
Do tri-axle dump trailers make a difference?
A smart forklift driver would have centered the forks. It’s probably the camera but the hydraulic shaft looks bent
Thats what i was thinking. You don't Even have to be smart it's common sense. And should lift with both forks.
Bending the hydraulics sounds expensive
I think I would have weighed the truck separately and then pulled the entire thing on the scale so that I wouldn't have had to dolly down each time. Something to be said about working smarter, not harder.
Stan when are you gonna showcase yours? I'm sure a lot of us would love to see it. I know I would I been in the market for one of the telescopic drums for over a year and haven't pulled the trigger
The thing is these aren’t commercial rated trailers and the trucks used to tow them can only tow so much weight - GCWR for the truck. In Texas a certain weight rating of what you can legally tow you might need a CDL. Because something doesn’t break while parked and being over loading doing so isn’t doing anything to test durability or reliability. I know these are great trailers because I also own one but my point is subjecting to over loading doesn’t in my opinion mean anything. Load them up and tow them down a dirt road with bumps or large piece of property and see how much they will haul and not break. I love mine but I really feel mine would be better if it had 3 axles in stead of 2 for pin weight and better weight distribution for the truck by removing some of the pin weight an extra axle would do. . Thanks
Telescopie is the best??
Must be nice . Took me 2 years to finally buy one for my roofing business
More videos like these
The link on Texas pride for your drawing is not working
That's a bad-ass trailer you got!
An unrelated question: what's in the big cage behind you, the green one with the greenery in it?
Java Jones the man likes birds
@@SlabbinNCabbin I'd like to have a few birds in a cage like that, frankly. I had hoped the answer would be birds.
That can not be a experienced fork user, u never put all the weight on a fork so the boom can twist, u either use both forks or putt one in the middle of the boom
Stanley congratulations on 500,000 subs. Really enjoy your content. 2 questions...what happened with the hoarder videos? I saw 1&2. When and how are you drawing for the trailer giveaway?
part 3 is out- did you see it?
@@Dirtmonkey loved it. Thanks for your efforts. Good job
Was that a F450? Great content👌
Wow 🇺🇲💯
👍
The problem with dump trailers around my parts is DOT you are always along side the road getting tickets. I gave up years ago and went to a real dump truck. Unless its mulch I don't bother
Are they illegal were you live? Why all the tickets?
@@xcalibertrekker6693 because its so easy to overload these trailers past legal capacity! Hence the tickets. Never had that problem where I am and I have had mine severely overloaded.
I don't think it's a fair test to use a forklift to 'start it' , letting some material slide out the back, and then trying the hydraulics and then saying it can probably dump ##,### lbs by itself. THere's a lot more energy involved in getting it to start to dump. I still think it's a great test, and it does show that the trailers should be able to dump way past their hauling capacities which I think is a good thing.
Wonder what the pin weight was.
Just pray you don’t have to use Texas Pride trailer warranty department.
The impressive part as well is the truck to even pull 50k with the trailer
Should have dug it out by hand enough guys would have been great content
You should load it like that except use sand
Whats the specs on the trailer and axles?
8k axles
I'm not interested in purchasing an over built 50k lb hauler. The extra material in the trailer increases the non money making weight of the trailer. BTW, if I understood it correctly, they were factoring in the entire weight of the trailer to gauge the capacity of the lift mechanism. This would be false logic because the lift mechanism is lifting the box of the trailer and not the weight of the entire trailer. All in all, I am impressed, but again, I rather purchase a well designed trailer for the load intended.
funny those rocks look like lava rock which is alot lighter
yeah- they kind of do look like that. But the scale was accurate
RIP Clutch
where was the load in the trailer? all forward could actually work out to lifting less overall weight depending where the pivot point is at the rear side of the trailer.
It will help us allot but we do t have a goosneck
This trailer is clearly tough but can it keep up with a hilux or better yet a 47series land cruser
Use a 20 ft trailer with 4 ft sides
