- I tried out the Silicon Mix Bamboo products on my hair and I decided to share the experience and give a review. To be honest, the products left my hair feeling dry and I am in such a hurry to wash my hair again.
My hair felt so light, fluffy and extremely smooth, but I will not sacrfice that for dryness and breakage.

Silicone products get a bad rap, because people don’t know how to utilize them properly. When used properly a moisture - sealant balance can be maintained and it helps so much with length retention. People use coconut oil on their hair all the time and when it isn’t used properly their hair become stiff and brittle. Everything needs to be used properly for it to work.
Do you recommend using clarifying shampoos with each use of the silicone mix products?
@@kimp.6367 clarifying shampoos can be very drying, because they strip the hair of product build up, but also natural oils. Maybe once a month, a good clarifying shampoo is needed or an apple cider vinegar rinse, to remove product build up. Look for a hydrating clarifying shampoo and always use a moisturizing deep conditioner afterwards.
I love the Bambu treatment! I follow up with a liquid leave in and my heat protectant...blow dry...then use my super silkening leave in moisturizer cream from ORS...shiny, bouncy, moisturized hair every time🙂🙃

Tried this product (deep conditioner) today after I did my black tea rinse. Let's see what happens to my hair during the week. I also tried V05's kiwi clarifying shampoo for the very first time. Hair was squeaky clean. Felt stripped because I washed 3 times. Wanted to ensure that my hair was clean enough for my black tea rinse. Let's see what the week holds.

Because the V05 is so clarifying, I just use it once.
Silicone mix is very safe conditioner… it’s water soluble conditioner ( meaning it will wash out on your next shampoo) as well as a protein treatment ( protein is Kertain which your hair is made out)so you have to add a moisture conditioner with it to balance it out…
especially the bambu one… try the argan oil one
Silicones and protein are excellent for high porosity hair like I have. I just purchased the nutritive treatment to give it a try.

I suggest you mix it with Keracare Humecto moisturizing deep conditioner oil combo mix, your leave In and serum hair regimen as you normally do, you should have a WAY greater experience!!!👍🏼

Sorry you did not have a very positive experience, but this is a PROTEIN deep conditioner and should be followed up w/a moisturizing deep conditioner. I suggest you try KERACARE HUMECTO deep conditioner with or w/out your oil-mix combo!!! Your hair will be soft, flows/flowy, shiny BOMBSHELL effect!!!
As a hairdresser. Put moisturizer leave-in first. Then seal. I prefer silicone as a sealer. Reapply as needed. When I top off 1 quick spray with water. Small adjustment , I think you’ll love it.

Decided to do some more research and found your video. I think I'm gonna stick to my regular deep conditioners for now lol. Great review!

This treatment is a Dominican hair product. I used a different treatment and it made my hair dry as well and I had to moisturize my hair after washing because it was breaking. I never used it after that. These types of treatments are loaded with silicone and our hair needs moisture which silicone prevents.
I got the same experience, it makes your hair smooth shiny but dry. Honestly the other silicon mix dcs work better on my hair than this one but they're protein. Crece pelo, on the other hand is soo bomb, it gives you slip, moisture, shine and that lightweight feel but your hair is very hydrated.

I tried the leave in but the scent was overpowering. I would walk and I would be looking around for what that smell was.
I’ve heard the treatment is used to coat hair. So first you dc then finish off with the Bambu treatment for the 3 mins.
Ooo, that scent lingers.... I don't mind it too much, but it stays....
I tried it a couple of weeks ago and, just like you, my hair was incredibly dry all week. I think I will give it away.
I always find it interesting how products work so well for some, but gives the opposite results for others...
I usualy use a moisturizing conditioner after clarifying. Silicon mix doesn't really add moisture, it's closer to a protein treatment.

Thank you for the product review. 😊You have worked so hard to get your hair where it is. I hope these products does not cause you a setback. But I agree that you could keep them but do your deep treatment first and maybe add at the end for the slip. You could use only one product for your wash instead of both of them. Seen that they contain so much silicone. Your hair looks beautiful, you are doing a great job, keep it up😊
I don't want to throw them out so quickly... So I'll find a way to use them.
What i do with it is to do a cocktail. I mixed in with another conditioner. I mixed it with tgin cause that conditioner was not working well for me. It works great together.
When I'm applying the treatment I add olive oil. And I do the LCO method with the leave in.

This is the best DC for synthetic hair
If people already have product build up from not washing their hair properly then most likely their hair is already dehydrated because it’s water repellent from that build up and putting silicones on top of product build up will make it worse. Silicone is suppose to trap moisture and if your hair isn’t able to get the moisture in the first place then it won’t work as good. You need to get rid of product build up and detox hair for a while to get hair hydrated again before using silicone. Then learn how to properly use silicones to prevent build up from silicones
I use the whole set and it did well to my hair.

I said u used a clarifying shampoo which dries hair your hair already looks relaxed then u use silicon obviously no oil to hair or leave in condition that’s why it’s dry n breaking n heat protectant spray maybe a straight hair serum oil
I used a clarifying shampoo followed by a light moisturizing shampoo, then used silicone mix. I used small amount of profectiv oil per during the Blow-dry process, maybe that's why my hair hasn't gotten dry
Thanks for taking the risk with the products and sharing your results with us. Based on your experience, it seems that if you do a deep condition with your favourite moisturizing conditioner, steam and then do the bamboo setting lotion, then you should get the best of two worlds, your moisture as well as the bounciness. BUT if you went to your old salon with you DC and the hair dresser added the bamboo products and your hair still felt dry afterwards, then maybe you should just ditch the line altogether. Your hair has come a long way, I'll hate to see you reporting another setback because of the products.
I'm going to give it another try and see with the leave in... I'm still a bit iffy about the treatment.
I've had these products in my cart for months so I was glad to see this vid. While watching, i went to amazon to complete checkout from the first part of the story then based on the tone i decided to wait till the end and i'm glad i did. I'll take your experience as a caution and stay away as my hair cant seem to get enough moisture and is recovering from some coconut oil exposure.

You’re supposed to go under the dyer for 30 mins with this to soak in that’s why you didn’t “feel” it work.
I have to mix this with a moisturising deep conditioner. It works better for me when I do it that way. And yes, the heat makes a huge difference.

I am going to try the Silicon Mix Bamboo treatment today on my daughter's natural hair. As her hair is dry and needs a trim. I'll let you know what I think!.
Well, for the first try I wasn't that impressed. It kind of detangled? the roots but did nothing for my ends as they remained dry no matter how much product I put on.. honestly I've tried other products that had better slip and detangled/ smoothed out my hair better.... I blow dryer the hair and didn't notice anything different.
The nutritive treatment contains mineral oil. Mineral oil makes the hair smooth but blocks moisture from penetrating the hair. I had an experience with a moisturizer that contained mineral oil, which left my hair dry. I switched to a different moisturizer that has no mineral oil in it & the difference in my hair is night & day.
I was curious about the Bambu silicon mix but after reading the ingredient list & saw mineral oil high up on that list, I changed my mind.

@@oftones I was using the Creme of Nature oil moisturizing lotion. Now I'm using the African Pride Olive Miracle oil moisturizer lotion.

Honestly from experience the bamboo will break your hair if the hair is perm.
I didn't like the bamboo version either the original is ok
