This podcast is important. I just had a conversation with my 16 year old son who asked why that gay guy is dressed like a woman. I told him that hes not gay, he asked whys he dressed like a woman. Joe is doubtlessly very intelligent and verbose. He has a tendency to change his thoughts/mindset depending on who he has on as guest. I don't mind. It could be him keeping an open mind, for all I care, but I have no delusions that he just isn't doing it for views and to appeal to as large an audience as possible. Totally, utterly, brilliant. What did Eddie say halfway through? 'Be brave and curious, not fearful and suspicious'. I'm stealing that and spreading it around.👍
I first saw him on a tv clip and went immediately to order his comedy dvds. I remember watching him with just pure delight 😃😍 with my kid sister in the middle of the night at my folks house in rural Missouri. My old man wondered through the den and saw Eddie all decked out in sequins and full makeup on his tv and he was speechless!
i think the real reason is because when he goes live, he posts tooo many pod casts at once, then doesnt post for a couple days. especially when he was on vacation, he didnt post for a week or so. this way - he can rack up many videos pre-recorded and post 1 a day instead of 2 a day, so when he takes a break for a couple days he can still keep releasing videos. plus, itll be the same time every day for people to check it + hes getting more watch time on old videos because 75% of people havent seen all episodes
thats mostlikely why he took a 2 day break , then posted 2 MMA shows, then started daily podcasts again. he probably did 2 shows a day to scale up inventory, then he will be able to take more breaks & keep us happy with daily new videos
i agree, nick. Eddie is one of the most genuine, decent human beings around.. and she gives a good name to the trans community for sure. unfortunately, the trans community has been overtaken by sjw activists and whatnot, but when a real, chill trans person comes along, it's refreshing, and it definitely brings positivity to the concept in my mind.

Nicholas Elliott why because I object to a man giving away women’s rights? Sex separated spaces are in the equality act. Unisex spaces have higher rates of sexual assaults on women. They’re not his spaces. They’re ours, and we don’t want to share them with men. It’s not intelligent to ignore the needs of girls and women, it’s misogyny.
Nicholas Elliott oh and FYI, he’s publicly talked about changing in women’s toilets years ago with a group of young girls in there who chased him out. So actually yes, he invaded women’s spaces and probably has many times.
April hi April thanks for your response. Firstly I didn’t know about his openly changing in women’s toilets. I would definitely agree that’s a HELL NO! but I don’t know at this juncture if that’s true or not! I do believe that would cause a massive issue... people have been getting drunk, doing Drugs /having sex in bars/nightclub s since they came to fruition... but having a unisex toilet In that environment is asking for trouble on all sides of the equation. So I agree with you not because (as you say I’m defending or are offended( but because you raise a good and important point which I happen to agree with. But Eddie is openly saying he doesn’t have the answers and he has my respect throughout this whole conversation because of his wit and genuine courtesy in the environment he is in and still manages to be unique yet open to being wrong as well as right!

it's really silly, isn't it? transgenderism doesn't define a person anyway. eddie is so so so much more than just transgender including kind, clever, witty, generous, determined, brave, hard working, smart, funny, and just a down right decent human being.. what more can you ask for? he's (or she, I suppose huh?) always been eccentric, odd, and wonderful... but honestly, she's just entertaining as fuck. always love watching the standup specials.

This podcast is important. I just had a conversation with my 16 year old son who asked why that gay guy is dressed like a woman. I told him that hes not gay, he asked whys he dressed like a woman. I said because it's his choice , he said but won't people make fun of him. I said Yes, but only the ones that are not as manly as he is...... took awhile but the message finally sunk in. Keep your heart and mind open, it's over in only a few fleeting years , make it count.xx
Respect.... THAT is how you have a reasonable, intelligent, and informative conversation about it while promoting understanding. If only the anti-trans, as well as the radical trans and SJW's could wrap their heads around such a simple concept. The world would be a better place overall.

@@aliboyaliman6207 No... Most of us just don't give a shit either way how others care to dress, what their sexual preference is, or what they decide they want to be. It's really that simple. That my friend, is the definition of freedom...... Something I would gladly pick up a gun to defend if there were ever such an invasion like the one you describe. i think the real reason is because when he goes live, he posts tooo many pod casts at once, then doesnt post for a couple days. especially when he was on vacation, he didnt post for a week or so. this way - he can rack up many videos pre-recorded and post 1 a day instead of 2 a day, so when he takes a break for a couple days he can still keep releasing videos. plus, itll be the same time every day for people to check it + hes getting more watch time on old videos because 75% of people havent seen all episodes
thats mostlikely why he took a 2 day break , then posted 2 MMA shows, then started daily podcasts again. he probably did 2 shows a day to scale up inventory, then he will be able to take more breaks & keep us happy with daily new videos

Hi April thanks for the comment April. But I feel the point has been lost on you. He wasn’t talking about invading women’s toilets at all. I wish you god speed through life... you seem to need it more than most.
(Pardon my ignorance) secondly it was on this issue I disagreed with his vue I don’t think toilets should be admeenable to all. .. especially in bars and night clubs...

Me and my mate were lifting a load of weed at dublin Airport and i spotted him, i said to my mate "Theirs bloody Eddie Izzard!!" he replied "Who the hell is Eddies Izzard... haha he was polite and nice and told me to make it a quick one when i asked for a photo which came out all blurry...but heck least i met him..
I LOVE Eddie Izzard! Ever since his Dressed to Kill special I've been hooked I love that he's on here!
Wait, he still identifies as a man??
He can act like a woman all he wants, but he’s still a man to me.
Donnie Owens he literally calls himself a tranny
@@yourjewishmom7791 I haven't watched this yet.
Stephen fry and Brian blessed!!!!!! WE NEED THESE GREAT MEN ON THE PODCAST!!!!
Agreed on both. Stephen Fry is a fantastic idea. He has such a beautiful way with words.
You could just watch them on Richard Herring's podcast :)
Stephen and hugh. Would be great. Get the band back together again
Check out the Richard herring podcast with Brian blessed, brilliant!
Absolutely agree Tim minchin as well
I liked him in Mystery Men, if anybody else saw that underrated movie.
Andrew Comments that’s when I became a fan! Have seen his live and everything since. 80 marathons!
Lucille, God gave me a gift. I shovel well. I shovel very well.
"Disco is not dead. Disco is life!"
"You killed my father!"
"Of course I did, I'm a muuurdererr."
Loved that flick! No idea why it wasn't a bigger hit. Blue Raja FTW!
Wasnt sure what to expect coming in, no reason, but I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Eddie's path. Great podcast
"no reason"
I agree that I enjoyed this and am now a fan of Eddie's but the reason is obvious
Eddie is so amazingly funny and such a kind-hearted and good spirited human
Konstantin Krastev didnt know what pronoun do use there did ya
@@IIAshyII255 just take your drama and fuck offfffffffffffffffffff bro
@@IIAshyII255 I did not even think of the pronouns and I can use Eddie to describe them.
I don't know Eddie's preferred pronouns and I don't need to describe them by their gender pronouns Eddie is Eddie.
ghost did you just assume my gender?
He's such a loveable human.
Brilliant comedian, eccentric as F, hard as nails - one of our finest 👍🏾😁🇬🇧
K Khera maybe why we’re f@cked.
K Khera A fine summation. I feel the same and I’m Irish. A mighty he-beast. A mighty she-beast too. Happy that Eddie knows that he is a force of nature or Force Majuere as he prefers xx
@@Dude0000 I'm not but even if I was not sure what it would have to do with Eddie Izzard.
Hard?
K Khera not transphobic but all the tans people I met were clearly just not all there and a bad image of trans people cause I could chill with this dude any day but the people I know think they gotta be waaay out there just because they’re different
Not even like that over the top gay personality that is funny af and they’re always good peoples but like say shit you look in shock and wonder if they’re all there
Joe, please have more British comedians, love Izzard, he's one of Britain's finest!
Billy Connolly would be fantastic if his health allowed it.
would love to see Stephen Fry and even Hugh Laurie.. (I always think of those two together because of the sketch comedy show they had back in the day, but I'd like to see both for different reasons). Ricky Gervais would be good as well.
Stewart Lee - Britain's finest. That would be good. Americans wouldn't have a clue how to figure his comedy out.
Really fucking isn't. He's just one of the most exposed to American audiences.
@@cr0uchingtiger we struggle.
How can this have so many downvotes? I don't understand? Guy is such a legend.
It's almost like that's subjective
@@bigfan1041 I'd wager that a decent bit of of those dislikes are not as much about Eddie's comedy and personality, as they are people being uncomfortable with Eddie just being who he is. Of course people have their preferences and I'm not at all denying that, but I wouldn't even be slightly surprised to see that there were other reasons for that ratio.
@@TerryTerius ''they just have a problem with who they are'' is always the go to excuse isn't it
Because people are garbage
Intolerant assholes probably.
Eddie Izzard’s Definite Article is the best stand-up special ever. If you don’t know then find it immediately.
Eddie is nothing but positivity, love, compassion and life! What an amazing dude.
spot on... a down right decent human being, which seems hard to come by these days.
You have never seen him beyond this and standup, I take it. Look up his political twattery and then come back to me.
@@iggyzeta9755 someone's politics doesn't have to define them.. it's clear that he's probably a leftie, but it's also clear that he doesn't feel the need to talk about it nonstop or shove it down people's throats.. so why do i care, if he acts like a decent human being?
@@iggyzeta9755 So everyone must agree with YOUR political 'twattery', otherwise they're not good people? Mature... XD
Hell yeah, Eddie Izzard is the shit! His role in Hannibal is a favorite of mine.
alexander elfrink oh yeah I forgot! He ate his own leg in that!
Dressed to Kill is still my favorite special! Dude kills it!
Dress to Kill and Glorious, definitely his best work.
@@grizzlygamer8891 I'll check out Glorious. I damn near wore out the tap of Dressed to kill i have, haha ... Britain! what? what's that behind your back? oh just India and number other countries......
Well after all that's what he dressed for
@@cglasford1 do you have a FLAG?
Seriously he shames Python with his history depth.
@@crhu319 no flag no country!
Heard Joe telling Santino about how mean the replies "probably" were about Eddie Izzard. I see nothing but love in the comments. Way better podcast than the Kevin hart interview
Read his Instagram comments. I think that's what he was referring to.
