- • (November 2023) • This was quite the day! Broke down with @TheElevatorGuru , rode this 5 times, and got an Alone ride at the end of the day. Overall, an awesome experience that I have waited for my whole life.
• Let me know when you guys want the silent alone ride to be published. I wanted to upload this one right away since I want to start clearing my TOT backlog.
• Right now I'd say one of the AGVs died, someone slammed the E break @ 5:30, so who knows.

Y'all are so lucky to get to see what the ride looks like with all the lights on
the way some people said “hi RUclips” and the kid saying “wait we’re going on RUclips?” is so funny and wholesome. love it!
It was such a great experience :)
@@Elevator_Captain nice!
Seeing how there were no other AGV's at the unload floor and the unload doors opened slowly(The first time they run after a reset), either the drop shaft motor tripped a safety(probably overloaded) or someone manually activated an e-stop. I would bet the former occurred. An AGV getting stuck doesn't cause an e-stop to happen on other parts of the ride, the other vehicles will just move to their next "stop area" and stay there.
Typically breakdowns on the ToT are on the technical side and don't require an evac unless the AGV gets stuck, this is where the "RRA" system comes into play(they announce this over the intercom but there were too many people talking that I couldn't hear them say this). RRA allows them to reset the ride system wherever the AGV's are positioned and resume operations afterwards.
Honestly for the system being close to 30 years old, it’s in decent shape. It’s SO cool breaking down and watching all of the procedures you know about get used and all of the mechanics get reset and all that.
11:06 awesome motor sound!
I never noticed that! Good catch. Can’t forget about AGV motor sounds at 12:27
I rode Tower right at park close last night and also got stopped around the exact same area you guys did at 8:19, must be some sort of sensor just below the exterior doors that keeps getting tripped. Was losing my mind the whole time as a massive theme park nut LMAO, strangely enough I didn’t really feel the e-brakes apply because our vehicle was already shaking from the previous drop
Haha. It's actually a problem with the overhead motor, it emergency stops when either an AGV is overloaded, or something faults.
@@Elevator_Captainohhhh fair enough that makes a lot more sense
So while the drop elevator was moving really fast, the e brakes applied? Wow that’s actually pretty scary haha
It did hurt a little but it was worth it watching everything reset lol.
Ride of a lifetime 😅
This elevator is an Otis and it goes 2700 FPM
Yes it was installed in 1994
Happens quite a bit. If I may ask, why did the camera keep flashing blurs?
Yeah I’m a TOT nerd. It was flashing because of some garbage setting on the camera. It was ALSO a very dark environment so it had no idea what to focus on.
I’ve been on that ride, but not the stuck part
I cried on this
Cuz I rode it 5 😮years ago and I remember falling what felt like 50ft and I didn’t like it so I cried being forced to go on it and it was not as bad as I thought
I never been stuck on the tower of terror
❤❤❤❤😂😂
