Hi, I'm new to your channel, but really enjoyed this video, plus the latest Burson review you have recently done. I'm contemplating setting up a "desktop" type system as an addition to my main speaker/headphone based set up. My main system includes a Chord Electronic TT2 for DAC and headphone purposes, and I think it is a fantastic product. However, your review is tempting me towards this small, but beautifully formed amp for the secondary set up. My one problem with it though is that the Enleum is a stand alone amp, so I'll need another DAC. This then means I'll need a set of interconnects to link the DAC to the amp. All of a sudden it starts to look like a bit like a main system, rather than a compact desktop system. Do you think there is a place for separate DACs and headphone amps these days when there are so many units combining the two, for example my TT2!
Excellent review! I’m looking forward to getting ears on one of these. I was wondering if you’ve had a chance to try it with the Mojo2 as your DAC? Thank you.
Hi there, been enjoying your reviews a lot...Maybe a difficult one, if you would only look at sonics and make a choice between this one the Burson GT 2023 (with V7) and the Holo Bliss which would win your $ ? And objectively which one wins in terms of sheer dynamics and separation? Greetings from Belgium Bert
Great review, I've been waiting for this little one for a year :). What can you say about 23RM compared to Soloist 3GT 2023? I'm getting more and more impatient to upgrade my old Soloist.. Thanks for the review
Hi mate, 3GT 2023 will give you a similar, but more refined sound of your old Soloist 3X GT. Think about your Soloist but with less grain and more transparency and that's exactly how the 2023 versions are sounding. The Enleums...are different and in a quite big way. If you need ONE single solid-state amplifier after which you can forever delete your head-fi and youtube accounts, then AMP-23R is that amplifier, at least for me. There are no cons with it, except for the price. When you hear it, my words will click immediately, it's a very different experience, especially if you like to be part of the music, fully immersing yourself.
Hi good day Sandu When you said the RS8 and 23RM Sound 95% like 23R and Rockna WD Sig please tell me it's 95% with Hifiman Susvara not only with other headphones except Suzy
Thanks. Sorry I haven't tried tt2. I am new to headphones.. Mostly listen to my speakers. I did a comparison between Wa8, hpa-23rm and enleum 23r yesterday. I find Wa8 integrated quite close to hpa-23rm as I mentioned earlier, some songs better on Wa8 and some on hpa-23rm. Hpa-23rm has a bit more low end impact but can also seem less texture on mid-high on some songs. Both have similar soundstage and details. So I dont see much point of swapping my Wa8 for hpa-23rm and having to add separate dac too. Enleum 23r is a different beast.. Wider soundstage, more details, same higher bass impact but sounding smooth at the same time. Amazing.
I got a demo piece from local dealer to try out. Unfortunately I don't find much difference vs my eclipse Wa8.. Except it is slightly higher energy and more fun on rock songs. Was expecting more of a difference after seeing all the reviews. Not sure what I am missing. I have Erzetich Charybdis headphones
Sandu I think you need to check out the mass Kobo potable amps (428) to comp to this. My guess is the MK will push this thing very hard if not beat it.
Hey Ace, I'm one of those that care about the looks and the Mass Kobo units look uninspiring to me, although I'm sure they sound outstanding knowing how much you're recommending them. I might try such a unit in the near future ;)
You can check my AMP-23R review, where I compared it to the OOR and 3X GT, the only thing to note is that HPA-23RM offers less power output: soundnews.net/amplifiers/power-amps/for-ears-and-years-enleum-amp-23r-review/. Subjectivity plays a role in there, but for pure enjoyment and nothing else, it's close to impossible beating the Enleums. Their flow and dynamics are still unmatched.
@@Soundnews Good to know, I'm a happy owner of the 23r. "Unmatched", that's what I like to hear. Bliss gets put on the back burner for now, thanks to this comment!
Yes and Yes, you can learn more about this in my written review: soundnews.net/reviews/amplifiers/headphone-amps/enleum-hpa-23rm-review-playing-in-a-league-of-its-own/
Of course it's considered high-quality, my words are still standing, I won't change a single word in its review. However, the Rockna stack and the Dave are on a higher level performance wise.
Yes2 another 1 portable geekie like me. Hifi on the go.. Wow hugo2 twins is it.. yea sure beyond.. Nice 1 sir but 1watts on current while half on voltage seems dishonest towards susvara.. U feel me?.. 1 mo things u didnt realise Its an endgame system for iem bro...N dats fair for all human poor or rich, eryone can end their game.. But u r not an iem audiophiliac.. Its involved sumthin like Odin.. U12t.. etc.. In ur world.. yea susvara.. senn beside.. kewl n Peace!
Thank you for another wonderful reviews.

@@Soundnews Making me feel good about my Amp-23R! It really is the G.O.A.T.
What DAC would yo use with it let´s say going for vacation…😊❤️🙋♂️

Hi, Could you provide a link to your review of the Bakoon HPA-21, please
Thanks for the great review. How would you compare this to chord tt2. I am debating between tt2 second hand vs new enleum hpa-23rm, same price

Only one question: if it's so close to the big brother (double the price) and it can drive Susvara...why get that one? Thank you!
AMP-23R drives the Susvara (+ the rest of low-sensitivity planars) with a tighter grip, offers a *much* higher headroom and a nicer kick in the bass.
@@Soundnews Thank you!
Interesing how most criticize Enleum 23R midrange, but here's the opposite opinion.
How would you quickly summarize 23R vs Primavera?
I wonder how it compares to the Bliss or Ferrum

Not even close apparently.
Is the battery replaceable by user? Is the battery lifecycles protected if it stays plugged in?
Yes and Yes, you can learn more about this in my written review: soundnews.net/reviews/amplifiers/headphone-amps/enleum-hpa-23rm-review-playing-in-a-league-of-its-own/
Weird question did you ever find clipping when adjusting the volume too fast on the 23r?
Nope, it's flawless for me. Clipping on 23R it's like a straight lead role in a Disney movie - it's never gonna happen.
i fell out of my chair reading this@@Soundnews
The Ferrum "Wandla" DAC is not listed - no longer considered high quality?
Of course it's considered high-quality, my words are still standing, I won't change a single word in its review. However, the Rockna stack and the Dave are on a higher level performance wise.
Wow love how they used replaceable normal batteries. Never gonna get dead.
