An LXD virtual machine is a QEMU virtual machine which is level two hypervisor that runs in user space on top of the operating system. KVM is a level one hypervisor that runs in kernel space (in the opposing system) directly on top of the hardware. So, at least in theory, a QEMU container could run inside a KVM container, but not the reverse. QEMU is similar to VirtualBox which is also a level two hypervisor.
This is the best intro to LXD so far
Is snaps running LXD stable? Are their any other ways to run LXD FLATPAKS? Or native? Thx for your tims and great video
Also any thoughts on creating alternative images like TurnKey linux lxc images?
Thanks for sharing. one question, what's the difference between a lxc vm and KVM vm?
