With all the top players playing, I think the anzac test showed how great he really is. He definately was the best on the field even for a loosing side. I think that game proves he is the best if not one of the best players in the nrl.
He will be back one day i think. With a point to prove, to gain back that respect... and do better than he ever did when he first started, i don't think that will be too far away either..
His star would have risen even higher if he was a part of the WC winning Kiwis in 08. He was destined for great things in League. Now i dont even hear him being mentioned in Union for anything.
@martinabro1 Emphasis on 'could of.' Don't get him wrong man, Sonny is a very skilled player. He also has good upper body strength, and the legs to get him from A to B in no time.
He's obviously a very talented footballer...he's got a long road ahead before he'll be an all black. Its taken Tuquiri four years to be a slighty above average international winger....and they want to play SBW in the centres...the hardest back position in the game noone knows the full story about why he left....its funny that league..the code made for people who were after ther money, are crying foul cos a player jumps ship to go to union for the cash..."ooohh the times they are a changin"
I loved it when the commentators were all laughing at heighington running 80 metres and then at the end falling from a little shoulder from Sonny. But yeh about Sonny bill was a dog ditching the Bulldogs but he did it for his family I think. If that was me I would of gone to union but I would of told someone.
@BadmanBailey1993 I open trialled with the Bulldogs in 05, and beat his times in both 40 and 100m. He was obviously stronger and a better offloader etc.
yea you are right but it cometimes i can see him slakking off during games and not plating to what he is expected to play-i know hes not a superhuman but not every game he plays is the best game compared to other players-i dont think hes the best player in the comp but i remember when he veresed mason this year he didnt want any of him u know? i just saw him let other people take the first hit 4 him the sbw come in with a sort of soft swinging arm to finish the tackle-hes not exagerated tho
i like both sports ...ders nothing wrong with that...and honestly...some of the injuries that happen in soccer are very rare...but when they do happen they are generally more serious. take a look at some of the worst soccer injuries on youtube...der pretty fucken intense! but anyways...still love both games! :D
to be honest i dont really know what league is all about all i know is union is more popular and thats all we need to prove its a more entertaining and fun sport to play
haha i remember my 1st try i ever scored, one of the oppisition players ran the ball from half way and got to the try line and dropped the ball i picked it up (didnt know wat to do) and ran allll the way to the other side and scored
@benjyharibo96 people just need to accept the fact they are not the same sport. i played union then league, i like league more. i mate played union a little bit of league he like union more. but at least me and him can say that they both great sports and both codes can learn from them.
he didnt get the band because the injunction was overturned however i like union more thn league buh i think he shouldve taken different alternatives rather than jus leavin like tht
Lol, obviously not the best of tries, but that tigers player had one thing on his mind, he obviously wasn't going to get close to Sonny, he was going to do something dirty, but sonny was 2 steps ahead of him, WHAM!
@mst4nk not everyone is FULL PUFFED OUT look at him its like hes about to drop dead on the floor lmao... most players simply walk back breathing at a normal rate...
@benjyharibo96 League, more handling? All league is is one up pass after one up pass, pace rarely comes into the equation either. Union is just superior in every aspect except for the boganism and homophobia.
he's not good at union because the ball is carried into tackles differently, he flicks it out too often and oppossing players can just latch onto it. He gets sent off for over doing tackles to.
he aint gonna be an all black, coz he wont be allowed back in aus unless he wants to get owned. all blacks aren't gonna pick him either, he needs to return to the super 14 for that to happen anyway
i've seen samoan hit people out of blue, looking for trouble, and i don't assume that all the samoans do the same as well, because not all the samoans are same. violence doesn't have anything to do with this country culture! get your facts right and more importantly, grow up! that's just my advice.
@redhairisawsome Is it really awesome? I dont think so! Why dont you go and find the TV ratings for last year and you will see that Rugby League had about 35 million viewers over the season and poor old GAYFL had only 17 million. So looking at those stats GAYFL is only half as good as League.
Dislikes are probably tigers fans
With all the top players playing, I think the anzac test showed how great he really is. He definately was the best on the field even for a loosing side. I think that game proves he is the best if not one of the best players in the nrl.
I love Sonny Bill Williams and Allez TOULON !
GO TOULON !
sonny bill is just a monster. OWNT
SONNY BILL IS A CHAMPION :D
and the bulldogs are the best team ever
He will be back one day i think. With a point to prove, to gain back that respect... and do better than he ever did when he first started, i don't think that will be too far away either..
your so right DM1552. its sad he just looked at the short term. he was one of my inspirations with all his shoulder charges...but now...
Fucking legend of a man I love it when he springr
His star would have risen even higher if he was a part of the WC winning Kiwis in 08. He was destined for great things in League.
Now i dont even hear him being mentioned in Union for anything.
i would love to see him back in the NRL
@bencoops6 what were most of the boyz 40m and 100m times?
a straight sprint for 80m with a ball is one of the most viewed tries in rugby? pretty much proves how interesting rugby is
I love the "get the fuck off me" at the end :)
I was eating chicken and pasta when I watched this live... What strange thing to remember :/
Love the "get the fuck off me" at the end.
@Samzz4 isnt that much like everyone when they sprint 80m at their fastest? whats your point.
@ounce2314 you mean Matthew Jones.
@Evilbible If you knew anything about Rugby, then you would know that its very rare to charge down, let alone get an 80m try off it.
It's good, short term pain may well end up long term gain hopefully.
Sonny is like me can run fast as hell but puffs out after 10 seconds lol
I would like to see him try that one-handed carry with one of the old leather footballs especially with a wet one.
LOL, i like Gus laughing at the end
@martinabro1 Emphasis on 'could of.' Don't get him wrong man, Sonny is a very skilled player. He also has good upper body strength, and the legs to get him from A to B in no time.
its 60m and sonny bills the BEST
@Stinso93
Like whom?
I agree that it isn't an amazing try, but it is a forward running 80m which is the good part.
no fullback?
its 80m my friend, u cant see 40m and 60m line clear on the vid.
lol wat a soulder charge at the end when he cored ( it was about 25sec in the video)
He's obviously a very talented footballer...he's got a long road ahead before he'll be an all black. Its taken Tuquiri four years to be a slighty above average international winger....and they want to play SBW in the centres...the hardest back position in the game
noone knows the full story about why he left....its funny that league..the code made for people who were after ther money, are crying foul cos a player jumps ship to go to union for the cash..."ooohh the times they are a changin"
GO SBW!!! The sushi he had at my restaurant two days ago must've fired him up!
I loved it when the commentators were all laughing at heighington running 80 metres and then at the end falling from a little shoulder from Sonny. But yeh about Sonny bill was a dog ditching the Bulldogs but he did it for his family I think. If that was me I would of gone to union but I would of told someone.
@flaverotti are you serious?
Is this union or league?
its a pitty when it comes to nz circles this guy acheived nothing this dosent take away the fact he is a hard nut
Correction, GO SBW!!!! The sushi he had at my restaurant two days BEFORE THAT MATCH must've fired him up!!
Sonny is pretty quick for a big guy. I'd only just beat him over 40 metres. Obviously over 100 i'd pull away a bit more, but he's got some skills.
Sunny bill sez seeya!!!
@StraightEdgeGTS not any more 2011 changed we got loads of people now but idk i dont watch afl much NRL is my game :)
0:23 OWNED !
he was just showing off at the end
@bencoops6 doubt you would
@martinabro1 but not anybody could have had the speed to do it or the reactions/ ball control befor the run :)
@saldcq then why are you watching a bulldogs vs tigers video ? haha
@martinabro1 not many would have been fast enough
i was at this gameeeeeeeeeeeee
yea boi....beeeaasst
LOL @ gus laughing at the end
"chased 80m to get belted" ROFL
Forgive me if I am not impressed by this guy running in a straight line with a 5m headstart and scoring a try.
@benjyharibo96 you are wrong.
LOL at phil gould laughing
@EvilBible with a comment like that it's safe to assume that you don't play rugby...
i like both sports ...ders nothing wrong with that...and honestly...some of the injuries that happen in soccer are very rare...but when they do happen they are generally more serious. take a look at some of the worst soccer injuries on youtube...der pretty fucken intense! but anyways...still love both games! :D

oi funny 1 u got me.. cant run the ball, good call man
he put his elbow in nice at the end of that!!
nothing in it if hodgeson had been in better position he might not of got of so lucky!
0.22 "get the fuck off me"
lol, he is so much smaller back then, but still massive :(
he didnt get the band because the injunction was overturned however i like union more thn league buh i think he shouldve taken different alternatives rather than jus leavin like tht
Lol, obviously not the best of tries, but that tigers player had one thing on his mind, he obviously wasn't going to get close to Sonny, he was going to do something dirty, but sonny was 2 steps ahead of him, WHAM!
@tw25rw define wasting? the all blacks are known and feared all over the rugby world. the bulldogs are known in parts of new zealand and australia.
watch at 24 how sonny just taps the other player and he still almost falls
Still hasn't turned out in a provincial game for Canterbury in the NPC which is becoming really disappointing.
agreed
looks like they got nothin next year too with SBW goooonnneee
The only really good league convert I have heard of is Jason Robinson
@homers67 ur not serious
@mst4nk not everyone is FULL PUFFED OUT look at him its like hes about to drop dead on the floor lmao...
most players simply walk back breathing at a normal rate...
"He chased 80 meters to get belted" - lol
All the poor guy had to do was tap him. Talk about getting owned. Nice "try" - pun intended.
thats funi...coming from the RORTERS
Crap try, Aaron Shingler of the Scarlets scored a 90 meter try, AND HES A FLANKER!!!
0:24....dat guy got moded hahaha
oh man i hope he has gotten rid of that habit of holding the ball with one hand arghhh lol
Maybe but I wouldn't be a dog about it and walk out on my mates without even telling them.
lol aww i love this dikhead ....
@benjyharibo96 best comment ever
@martinabro1 not every ford can run 80 and get a try
i take that as a fact so.
dear sonny, france is the other way! dog.
@benjyharibo96 .. Union - more boring, slower game
League - More entertaining... better game
:)
he chased 80m to get belted ROFL
@benjyharibo96
League, more handling?

uh, i don't he had wasabi
bit too much wasabi?
he aint gonna be an all black, coz he wont be allowed back in aus unless he wants to get owned.
all blacks aren't gonna pick him either, he needs to return to the super 14 for that to happen anyway
"chased 80m to get belted" haha
lol at heighington
wel u might have noticed its easier when ur playing 10 year olds..
i've seen samoan hit people out of blue, looking for trouble, and i don't assume that all the samoans do the same as well, because not all the samoans are same.
violence doesn't have anything to do with this country culture!
get your facts right and more importantly, grow up! that's just my advice.

@redhairisawsome
Is it really awesome? I dont think so!
