I'm so sick of people acting as if OKC was heads and shoulders above every team in the West when Denver had the exact same record and Minnesota was just a game behind those two. Thunder were able to sneak up on teams at the beginning of the year, while Denver received every team's best punch every night and had a brutal schedule to begin the season, with the most back to backs, 3 games in 4 nights multiple times, and played 4 more games than most teams up until allstar break. SGA's only other arguments are points and steals, but Jokic was still no. 9 in scoring and no.7 in steals. On the other side, SGA doesn't even come close to touching Jokic in rebounds and assist, plus Jokic led the league in pretty much every advanced stat for the 4th year in a row.

The playoffs are proving to everyone who the real MVP is. SGA. Not one person can argue that OKC would be anywhere without SGA, the most valuable player. The playoffs are proving to everyone who the real MVP is. SGA. Not one person can argue that OKC would be anywhere without SGA, the most valuable player. Not one person would trade Murray for Chet, or Kyrie for Chet. The Joker is the best player in the league. He's just not as important to his team as SGA is to his.
