This is the case in my marriage. I have a stronger drive than my partner. @@diallo6197Sometimes it’s not even that they don’t hear, they simply don’t do anything with what they hear. They get theirs at the end of the day. I am exactly where this woman is in her marriage. I think there’s a point when you realize you’re not sexually compatible and you accept it for what it is because the implications of cheating, divorce and separating a family is just too much of a cost. But there are times when it gets HARD and men really don’t understand how painful of a weight that is to carry because we protect their egos from it.
Interesting, so from what I’ve learned, my higher sex drive in part stems from not being fully satisfied in sex. It could potentially be what’s causing the lack of interest on your partners end (at least this is the case for mine) because to the man they see all their hard work being in vain because there’s no reward at the end. It discourages them from sex and trying to overcome the issue. Overtime it breaks down their self esteem.
But this is very discouraging to me because I’m trying my best to communicate changes and what may work for my body but I think he’s just completely given up since the honey moon. I’m caught between can a sexually incompatible marriage be a healthy one? Or are we being selfish by preventing each other from finding someone who is? I get that there’s sacrifices in life and I’m certainly willing to lay down my sex life for my family. But I’m not doing so in confidence that it’s the right or wrong decision.
