Sweet Salvation, Matt. Good to see these older radios being restored. Great work, as always Thumbs Up from other Techs on your channel shows due respect. 73's. 😑🦗
They don't make them like this anymore! Some tlc goes a long way with these vintage rigs. That would be cool to see other techs get involved in the channel. Enjoy the DX out there! 73
204 Ground Control has sent positive comments about your work before, as he did on the Uniden Base video. You have other Techs noticing what you are doing, Matt. I do not consider myself a Tech to your ability, or that of 204 G.C., whom I also watch and have subscribed to, but my years of tinkering have given me the insight to know quality work from a snow job. You both deserve my respect, for it was earned. 😑🦗
I like what you doing, sir you are showing the real stuff about radio like your test equipment and I think you understand the theory of a double E and I have great job
Are you guys just throw a white meat on that side? How many of the other guys even know what a trapezoid pattern is hundred percent modulation clean one form and harmonics again 73 great job like to see that someone knows what they’re doing and showing it to the CB community, ham, and a first class license holder.
Nothing like starting off the morning with some Radio Garage 👏👏👏.. let’s get this video started , and good morning to you Matt and the Radio Garage Family
@@TheRadioGarage I have that exact radio put up , cosmetically it’s great ,, but obviously butchered and missing some stuff on the inside ,, but I got it 3 years ago on eBay for 100 bucks before these things went through the roof . One day I will pay you what you need to make it work properly 🙏.
Yes the three button version but there was two button version which was true President Washington I found the 445 by accident you didn't even have to wire anything if you push that middle button half on half off hold at mid point and it talked and received on 445 other models I believe could do same thing Loved mine got it in late 70slike 1978 79 just couple years after fcc upgrade to 40 channel radios
Hi from wb2hww, I enjoy watching your video and like that you are trying to show the cb op what way to do things, most other guys on you tube just show what meter and nothing else. What about second harmonic, also I like you check 150 mhz band you don't want to have rf enenergy fall in the FAA band. I like you showed SINAd and check rx sen. Keep up the Good work from WB@HWW also have first and Second class and BSEE in electronics 73.
Over 100% modulation? with a clean sine wave? are you sure??? Just kidding, Good Work! I actually do all my own radio work and have some great modulation results also.
Great SSB rig. The Only issue with this chassis is no separate filters for AM. It was the budget radio shared on filter for AM/SSB. Just too narrow for AM. Which would make people sound a little mush mouthed. Because the bandwidth is chopped off.

I first saw one of these back in '87, I think. The Channel 9 button was modded to go to 27.445. I have wanted one ever since.
