@xAstrologia Lol, I feel ya. I'd probably panic, too, depending on the situation. I'm a surfer & I love the ocean but it also terrifies the fuck out of me.
@xAstrologia Also, I live off the Oregon Coast where the water is basically black & murky. It is so scary because you can't see anything at all, basically. And the water is freezing. Even in the summer. Anxiety surfing. Lol. For instance, last summer there was a great white right underneath me & I couldn't even see it. Until I felt something brush against my leg & then it tried to take a bite out of my board. I was frozen in fear. Luckily, my buddies were close by & saved me.
@@KillaTay-taylorMADE Oh thats cool! The surfing part not the shark part. Although I could never. I would freak out when I’m knee deep in the ocean and seaweed touches my feet 😅 I’m glad you escaped your encounter! I would have died from a heart attack.
In super deep parts of the ocean like this the chances of finding an animal are pretty low. The only thing you would see is a whale or jelly fish that come up. Most animals live above 200 meters near the shores as that’s where the plants grow, where animals would eat them and where predators hunt prey.
thank you, a lot of people don't understand that you are a foreign entity in the ocean most thing don't even know what you are let alone want to find out
Oh lol no, it was calming, actually. That soothing shade of blue, a whale song in the background...so peaceful. I think you just went with the dictionary definition of thalassaphobia and sure that might be enough for some folks, but maybe not for the rest of us. Personally, if you're planning to induce the phobia, try emulating some games like Endless Ocean or Depth. That famous clip of a free diver leaping off an underwater ledge and swimming to the deep, dark space below was unsettling for me, bar none.
I have been diving for many years in many seas & oceans (incl extremely deep fresh water) & easily admit i suffer from this😱, when i cannot see the ocean floor nor land nearby, (even with boat close by). I spend a lot of time spinning in circles & somersaults 🤭. (But don't tell anyone)😉😂
People need to realize that this is what thalassophobia is. Not those pictures of sharks in water, this. Where its nothing but water all around you for miles.
I really only have 2 phobias first is (fear of deep sea forgot the name of the phobia) (fear of human made objects tall basically) also be free to tell me if I said it right😅
I have thallasophobia but the dang ocean is too beautiful and interesting I get very uncomfortable watching these videos of that vast seemingly endless ocean but I become more and more curious Props to you
I don't know if I have thalassophobia or not, but this make me feel hard to breath like I'm drowning but at the same time, the dopamine released makes me curious and a sense of excitement
Although its true that most of the ocean hasnt been explored by humans or robots, we have scanned it and guess what we've found? Nothing. The vast majority of the ocean is just endless, empty water. No point sending anyone or thing down there if we know theres nothing anyways.
It's like life when you think about it. You can't see five minutes ahead actually, and anything can happen. It's full of wonders but also something bad could come at you. But you don't stop swimming just because of that, do you? ☺️ Best of wishes, to you @mermaid.kayleigh, and everyone who sees the life like that ❤🙏🏻
i grew up around the ocean so ive never minded when i can't see the bottom since it can get kinda murky where i live. dont know though how comfortable id feel if i knew the water was more than 200 feet deep though
This made me extremely uncomfortable I had to cover my eyes like I was watching a scary film 😅
Why couldn’t u just swipe off😂
@@Strictlysmiler too much curiosity 😂😂
Same I can't breathe very well 😭😂
Ahh I don't like it
Uncomfortable but a little curiously excited😅
I have thalasshophobia
Same
I love the ocean because how scary and beautiful it is, this makes me feel peace
تشعر بسلام وهو مخيف ؟
How
Ah hell nah man 😭🙏
@ I spent too much time playing subnautica and Bioshock fr
Dude how
I wouldn’t know which way was up ..😩
One way to tell which direction is up underwater is the bubbles go up towards the surface
@@KillaTay-taylorMADE true, i feel I’d panic and not even think of that 😅

Not me moving my phone as far away from me as possible thinking there was gonna be a jumpscare 😂

Exposure therapy ✔️☮️
*”Entering ecological dead zone”*
Fr that's what I was thinking

Please go & take a seat on the naughty step for making me go watch that video 😱 absolutely terrifying 😭😭❤
This was calming for me too!🥰💗
As a scuba diver the sea doesn’t really scare me but I can see how that would scare other people who don’t really know a lot about the sea
LOVE THIS. And YES I AM NOW NERVOUS AF
This is my worst fear
I don’t understand how you can do that. 😮
"Anything could appear at anytime" is the perfect way to describe thalassophobia
Thalassaphobia: fear of deep waters
I have been diving for many years in many seas & oceans (incl extremely deep fresh water) & easily admit i suffer from this😱, when i cannot see the ocean floor nor land nearby, (even with boat close by). I spend a lot of time spinning in circles & somersaults 🤭. (But don't tell anyone)😉😂
Feels and sounds beautiful!
Once in Starnded Deep i lost my raft in the middle of the ocean and no islands were close
If there was a jump scare i woud drop kick my phone ngl
omg I closed my eyes after reading "anything could appear at anytime"
People need to realize that this is what thalassophobia is. Not those pictures of sharks in water, this. Where its nothing but water all around you for miles.

"Anything could appear at anytime"
that gets me the most
I have thallasophobia but the dang ocean is too beautiful and interesting
I get very uncomfortable watching these videos of that vast seemingly endless ocean but I become more and more curious
Props to you
As a scuba diver, I feel comforted by the vastness of the ocean. I love it, it’s cozy to me
This was scary tbh and the music made it worse
I get anxious but I really like it because it's so beautiful. I do know that anything could pop up.
Sea of thieves players see this 💀
It is scary but cool at the same time
Entering ecological deadzone.
Just take a wizz or crack one off and see how long it takes something to show up.
I don't know if I have thalassophobia or not, but this make me feel hard to breath like I'm drowning but at the same time, the dopamine released makes me curious and a sense of excitement
Ok. I have thalassophobia. ABSOLUTELY.
First thing on my ocean list is to find an Oar Fish in open water.
Made my palms sweat.. 95% of the world's ocean remains uncharted and unknown, so like you said, anything could appear at anytime.. 😅
Although its true that most of the ocean hasnt been explored by humans or robots, we have scanned it and guess what we've found? Nothing. The vast majority of the ocean is just endless, empty water. No point sending anyone or thing down there if we know theres nothing anyways.
I love the ocean, and I very much prefer the open ocean rather than cramped or tight spaces
It's like life when you think about it. You can't see five minutes ahead actually, and anything can happen. It's full of wonders but also something bad could come at you. But you don't stop swimming just because of that, do you? ☺️

My anxiety: 📈📈📈📈📈
I HATE IT SO MUCH CAUSE I HAVE THIS PHOBIA
How did you get back😢?! I’m scared for you sorry I’m 6 tell me if you are ok?😢 love your vodeous
Beautiful whale sounds btw ☺️❤️
Love the beautiful whale 🐋 sounds that they make 😍 💙💙💙
As a beginner freediver for almost a year now...all i can say is "curiosity bites" 😆
Lets be honest here, its not the ocean that scares us.its the things below the ocean that gives us the creep
YES, I HAD TO COVER THE SCREEN BECAUSE I THOUGHT THERE WOULD BE A JUMPSCARE OF LIKE A SHARK!😭
Yes it made me anxious
Im not scared of the wate.......
Im scared of Whats unerneath
Just knowing how deep it is scares me
If I could hold my breath and wouldn’t be crushed by the pressure I would do it
I could NEVER do this…
Imagine at night though. It would be just pure darkness.
Almost like in space but you dont die instantly
Imagine if he was shooting this at midnight
I would love to experience this 😮😊
"warning, entering ecological dead zone, are you sure what you are doing is worth it?"
i grew up around the ocean so ive never minded when i can't see the bottom since it can get kinda murky where i live. dont know though how comfortable id feel if i knew the water was more than 200 feet deep though
I have thassophobia 😂
I would puking crying dying screaming and calling someone to come get me a boat especially if I heard whales
NUH UHHH! *Wincing and tensing up* eeeeeeeeE!¡
For sure...
what if you get lost from the direction you came from and start going the wrong way
THAT WHAT SCARES ME
This is beautiful. But I’m a thalassophile
Idk if i have thalassaphobia but i do suffer from vertigo & this definitely made me feel woozy & seasick 😵💫😵💫
What sound name
No, Mine is Astraphobia
I'm not afraid of deep open Waters but there's no way in hell I would put myself there
No … in fact for 10 years this was my peaceful place … especially at night …
“anything could appear at anytime” NO DONT DAY THAT. THATS WHY IM TERRIFIED STOP
That's terrifying
Smart people have Thalassaphobia.
Looks beautiful i would love to swim in such deep water.
Yes ma’am…😳
Not fear. But feels awkward because I come from desert area.
The way I was saying “ur gonna die, ur gonna die, get out”
Th video is fine but the sound is terrible I would cryyy from fear and phobia but the couler of the water is AMAZING
fascinating. not frightening at all.
that is so cool
Ok if i was there I'd drown myself i have thalassaphobia
Yes I do have thassphobia
To hell with that! I’m staying on ground, may not ever leave the country!
The noise yeah but as long as I don’t have to hear humping back whales
Yeah i didnt have to wait
Im extremely scared looking at this
I love that feeling
It is intimidating, but as long as I can see and swim to safety, boat or shore, I can relax.
I don't see the problem here.
Subnautica void ahh ocean
