Thank you for positive comments on our area! Yes, there are negative things, overall this place is really nice. I have lived in 4 other states , give me here any day!!
I’ve just purchased a small home in Ashland. I find your videos so helpful getting acquainted with Southern Oregon. Thank you for the views and in sights.
We visited a friend in Bend, OR. He took us to a GREAT dog park next to a outdoor sports complex. Don’t remember the name of the park, but it was like 3 dog parks in one. The first section was kinda ugly with dirt and rocks, but then he said, “ it gets better, fallow me”. He led us down a dirt path to a beautiful fenced in park with grass, big pine trees, water fountains for humans and dogs AND a port-a-potty. He then said “it gets better, come on”, how much better can this get we wondered. We went out of that fenced area to a wonderful dog pond with flowing water. There were all kinda dogs playing in the water. It was the best DP i have ever been to
Is Asland the only area in Southern Oregon that I should stay close to if I only want health food and vegetarian food ( no fish either) or are there additional choices? Thanks
@@ediewall6360 Hi there! Ashland will have more of these options, but Medford, Jackonsville, and Grants Pass will all have options. In fact, Sunshine Foods in Grants Pass is amazing!
We stayed at the KOA in Grants Pass. It was voted #2 in the KOA chain. Very nice place to stay with a natural water side. It is located at: Jumpoff Joe Creek Rd.. funny name for a road. We really liked Grants Pass and La Pine, OR
That is a GREAT question. While it is heartbreaking that a community I love struggles with high crime, The Jackson County Sheriff and Medford Police are working hard to correct it. You’ll also see the crime rates are lower here than several other cities in Oregon. There are certain things you can do to mitigate the risk for you and your family, and while no place is perfect, there are areas close by that have a much lower crime rate (Rogue River, Grants Pass, Ashland). It is also interesting to note that the overall crime rate is lower now than it was in 2013. I believe this is the result of solid community efforts by many agencies.
I did. Thank you for pointing that out. I thought it was an unincorporated area, but looked it up right now and figured out it is in fact a city! Great catch and thanks for watching!

That’s awesome. Welcome. And congrats. Let me know when you want to buy a second one or sell your current one and move into a different one!! 🤣🤣❤️❤️👍👍
Klamath falls all the way. A great college, a huge lake, a big airport, great Indian Museum, and free Geothermal hot water.
Lots of love to KFalls! Do you live there?
I grew up there partly.
Have you been back recently?
@@tmoddison No, I'm stuck in Portland.
Uh oh - for how long?
I'm retired and living in WA State but thinking of So. OR area but close enough to Hwy 5 around 1/2 day ride to the Bay Area in CA.
Sorry I missed this comment. That would be Southern Oregon for sure!
Can you do a video about best city/place to live with dogs? Dog parks, off leash dog areas, parks to walk in, … amount of snow winter 😊
This is a great idea! Look for it in the next month or so... I'm guessing the Huskies want A LOT of snow, right?

So, Wolf Creek is appropriate for the Lone Wolf.

Yep - I've been to that KOA. It is a good one! Thanks for your comment!
Forgot Klamath Falls in Klamath County
Missing some cons and not just pros
Ok! What is it missing?!
I love Jacksonville. Such a cool town.
I agree!! What is your favorite thing about it?
What do you think of Medford’s high crime rate?

Medford does have an edge mainly due to it's meth problem. However, it's not as bad as Eugene
You missed Phoenix

What is definition of uncorporated area
It is an area that may look and feel like a town, but it isn’t. Josephine county has MANY of those.
