Pretty cool, I do hate how everything is glued on now, had to buy some Matterhorn 400 dollar miner boots to get a real sewn on sole and a boot that will hold up, glue like this is trashed and sole coming off in a month if I’m lucky

I completely understand. It's hard to tell in the video, but I actually stitched these on from the inside of the shoes. I made sure they were countersunk so you'd have to wear the sole awhile before walking on stitches.

@@Theshoeman02 nice 👍🏻, I’m currently trying to save two pair of very rare timberland superboots I found for cheap, watching these type of videos to see if I can ditch the “concrete construction” glued on soles and go with a Goodyear welt with the either a split welt with the rim or if that don’t work last resort do a stitch down strait to the welt. Only one local shoe place around here just trying to gain a little knowledge before taking them there

@@walterlangkowski4723 converting Timberlands to a GYW can be tricky and most cobblers will turn that job away. It's definitely possible so if your local cobbler won't do it feel free to reach out, I'm happy to help

Hi, where can I buy these Vibram or any brands sole online? I spent some time looking for an online supply store but it was hard to find one. And If I may, normally where can I buy the material and simple tool online? I'm interested in DIY one for myself. Also do you have any way to remove the cup-in midsole to change the foam when they are worn out flat? Thank you in advance.

I’m not to sure of an online supplier, but you can try to call Miami Leather Supply. That’s where I order most of my soles from. As far as removing the cup sole, I wouldn’t be able to tell you until I see the shoe

Why not just remove the old sole cup and get a new one?

    • @Theshoeman02

For a couple reasons, cup soles the fit are hard to find, and this customer wanted a little bit more grip while riding his motorcycle so this is what we came up with
