How do you take the black fitting off the shifter because its really tight on there?
The 2015 wrx has a reverse ring too and I didn't see it when you installed. Does this work for it or not?

The 2006 STI has a reverse lockout on the shifter, so a specific shift knob is needed in order to work with your car. Unfortunately, I do not believe ours will work with your car.
Everybody has to start somewhere :p
Are Mishimoto shift knobs weighted?
I was planning to do that on my Polo, then i figured out that it's a little bit difficult...

This would depend on the thread pitch of your shift knob.
How do you keep the shift boot from sagging
This is going to be a little different for every vehicle. If your car uses the shift knob to support the shift boot a grommet around the shiftier big enough to keep the boot from slipping through might be the best choice.
Is there way to take the thread out of the shift knob? I cannot take it out
The threads inside and out will tapper towards the end, if you are having a hard time removing it you can take a bolt the same thread size as the inside thread and tighten. When you go to loosen the bolt it should remove the whole adapter in most cases

If you are having trouble removing the shift adapter you should be able to put a bolt through the adapter and then loosen it. If you keep having trouble please feel free to reach out to us at support@mishimoto.com.

Hello Taj . Our shift knobs are universal and can function in nearly any application. You'll just need to verify if the thread pitch of your vehicles shifter is included with the knob your interested in :)
