Hallo Koen! I am referee currently serving for the KNVB at youth division level. I would love to explain what happend with the red card( at least what I think). Our Callum makes a really good swing, this is not a push anymore since he also uses his elbow at head level, from the footage it seems also that he puts a bit of power in the swing. As I see it he really makes a coordinated swing at the attacker, because he completes his swing until his arm is a bit behind his body. This means that this foul woulf be classified as a violent conduct without an intension to play the ball, which is always a red card according to the laws of the game. I hope I clarified the situation for you, please keep up the content and your quality, you deserve it!

An example of this is, when te entire game is rough, we are most likely to show a of cards, but when there is one dark yellow foul (a foul which is on the border of yellow and red) that occurs once you can say, gentleman, keep the game clean, the first one to do this will get yellow or red. In the last scenario we try to talk ik out. To give a definitive answer to you, the term we would use is excessive force, the goalkeeper used excessive force which is always a red card foul, I does not really matter for the run up, it is more about the excessive force.
