      @@holtscigarshow about: is it acceptable to use Tupperware rather than a wood humidor? How to treat the opening and closing of Tupperware (e.g. I’ve heard that you need to open your tupperdor to let out the air and let in new air, whereas with wood I’ve heard you need to open as quickly as possible, choose your cigar quickly, and close it up just as quickly)?

    Fuente ( Dom )
    Cohiba ( Cuba)

    The crazy thing is I actually don't care for the first 3rd of the Cigar. Once I get to the first change, that's when I slow down I take my time and I enjoy. Then that half piont ooooh that's what we are talking about. By that ending 3rd if it's great then I'm going till my fingers burn.

    Great info guys enjoyed it. I have just a couple thoughts and a question on humidors. I’m actually in the process of building a home bar it will be a blend of speak easy /cigar bar named “The Robusto Lounge” I’m pumped and it’s a dream of mine. My question is what do you think of cooler/humidors which obviously are temperature and humidity controlled? Also like grouping same types of blends when aging and for some reason I fear that like having no air movement isn’t good am I wrong? One other comment I really like enjoying all types of cigars and I love some of the big brands say Fuente for instance but they don’t give you much information on the specific cigar your smoking where as others do? I really like to dive deep and learn what roller(person) put their hands on my product and give them praise! Thanks again boys!!

    • @holtscigars
      @holtscigars  10 месяцев назад +1

      There are some enthusiasts who insist that different cigars sitting next to each other in a humidor will "marry" flavors. We typically don't find that to be something to be concerned about. Even if it happens, it isn't to the point where it drastically will alter the flavor of a blend. Plug in humidors are a great option! Finding information on the cigar (besides makeup) is different for every factory. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment!

    Hi, guys! Great job you both and your team do out there, enjoy it a lot, keep it going! About humidity: I live on the island where normal humidity level varies from 70 to 84% and have noticed that my cigars feel just fine in that humidity range (draw is perfect, cigars feel nice and fresh) though it's much higher than it's usually recommended, how's that possible?

    • @anthonymazzola4470

    Question guys…what is the advantage of a tubed cigar?

    • @holtscigars
      @holtscigars  10 месяцев назад

      Protection for having your cigars on the go, most tubos have a cedar sleeve inside that enhances the cigar with extra cedar notes, and presentation is great if you're giving the cigar as a gift!

    What three cigars would you age together to good flavor marriage

    • @holtscigars
      @holtscigars  10 месяцев назад +1

      We typically tell consumers flavor marriage is not something we think will drastically change the flavor of a cigar, if at all. If you experiment with aging your cigars you will get what you're looking for. Leave a cigar in your humidor for a few months and see how you like it!

    pardon the repetition: there arent different proportions of different tobaccos across the structure of a cigar? if not is it the relative heat moving through the cigar that affects the taste resulting at the end with almost too powerful flavors?

    I always wondered why that when I enjoy cigars that are 20-30 years old, they all have a taste of hay? Most of the older cigars that I get have been in humidors for all these years and I have had a good variety but like I said, they mostly have a taste of hay. Why is that?

    One thing I wanted to ask, I have a guillotine cutter not sure what the measurements are on it but if I have a large ring gauge cigar, is it possible that my cutter could be too small for my cigar? I recently had a pretty big one and the cut wasn’t as pristine but maybe I didn’t do a perfect job on it either. Open to suggestions.

    • @holtscigars
      @holtscigars  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, it's possible for your cutter to be too small for your cigar. You can purchase a larger guillotine cutter. Xikar sells the Xikar M8 70 Ring Cutter that fits ring gauges up to 70 no problem.
