In contrary, Amit Pelet suggests the other way round (movement with the body in the same direction as the bow, if I understand him right). Therefore, I would like to suggest a video with a panel discussion on this issue.
Thank you so much for the awesome videos especially this particular one which helped me fixed my bowing and phrasing in playing the melodic lines in Rachmaninoff Sonata for Piano and Cello in 4th movement! This makes so much sense, similar to how we move our arms while we walk, it is counter balance. We need the balance to control the sound.
