I like that she acknowledged that clean beauty is not cheap, that she has struggle with her mental health which taking care of yourself is one aspect of self care, and about having balance. It actually surprised me, and she seems genuine.

@@ainaramiaumiau The thing is that dermatologists have been saying for years now that "clean" beauty isn't really a thing. It's mostly a scam. Yes you can choose vegan and cruelty free products, but makeup and skin care products are not toxic or dangerous. The worst that can happen is that you have an allergic reaction to a specific ingredient. This is why everytime I see a celebrity talking about "clean" beauty I tell people to please follow actual doctors on RUclips so you can properly educate yourself on ingredients and what they're used for.
@@Kay2be2mr This is very true. I focus more on clean packaging and cruelty free products because there’s not a ton of proof that “clean” products are useful.

I love that she mentioned the pressure that surrounds switching to natural products. It can get really overwhelming and, like she said, pricey. What an icon.
It’s the same for products around the house, I use to think “oh I need to get ride of the bad stuff for clean brands“ but I found out years ago that NO I “use up” what I have and than can transition to other brands. No. Wasting
Even water bottles, I have some plastic Yeah I may not be good and glass is better but I don’t want to buy a expensive glass bottle I rather I keep using my plastic bottle until it’s old than buy something better. Ashley is wonderful for remind us all. 👏🏼 but we also need to remind ourselves more haha
