There will never be another Shaq. His combination on agility and power when he was young was a thing of beauty

I remember watching this and I think 3 of the bigs that 18 year old Shaq was dunking all over were future NBA draft picks too.

Yo, I thought that was Shaq on the last steal at the buzzer too for a second. I was like he'll no. But I wouldn't have been surprised had it been him giving the highlights I just watched.

I was in 8th grade when I saw this and I went absolutely crazy. I never witnessed such a dominating, powerful slam dunk in my life until what Shaq did at the end.

Damn if he'd only stayed in that shape he would have been a top 5 of all time. 290lbs was perfect for him. Instead, he ate his way to run of the mill player. Should have led the league in rebounding every single year but averaged 10 a game for his career. Phil Jackson said it best . He should have been mvp 10 consecutive years but just didn't have the drive. Probably why he played for 6 teams. Funny thing is people actually questioned the Lakers for keeping kobe instead of Shaq. They saw the writing on the wall. Put Shaq out to pasture at 31. Guess he'll always have his rap career

What amazed me was toward the twilight of Shaq's career I think he was at times 370lbs. With all the wear and tear on his body along with everything getting brittle etc as aging happens, he never tore an acl, achilles, or broke major bones. Dude had one hell of a tough body.

I can't stress enough how irritating and obnoxious Dick Vitale was. His contributions to the broadcast booth were completely irrelevant.
