i was under the impression the machine already played the game (in nanoseconds) as soon a you press the button and the display is just showing you the results basically that would mean the bonus round was technically stored in the memory like you said and the playback was just waiting to happen (at least thats how i understand the tech of all this to work)

I worked for a Navy Communication Station, and they had static generators to ganitee power would not go out before the diesel generators started!!! There was no break in power!!!

There really isn't anything to worry about, they're designed with this in mind.

That technically shouldn't have happened. Slot machines, if shut down, should resume play at the exact moment they went off - there shouldn't be any rollbacks, you got lucky.
