That's crazy, bc I'm naturally a nice person and I like making new friends and meeting new people, so hearing that makes me kinda nervous for going downtown. I got accepted as a transition student for Fall 2022 :)
Honestly the manners thing doesn't surprise me. I'm from California and moved to Georgia last year. I was raised with manners, but in California you never were really friendly to people you didn't know, like smiling at them or even waving. I live in a more rural area so out here the southern mannerisms are common, but then when I go into Atlanta it's like California where it's weird to be friendly. Also, I'll be doing GSU PC this fall as a first year, so thanks for this video :) I probably will transfer to the main campus for my bachelors because it seems like a good school and that's easier than transferring to another four year.
heyy im from Cali too and im supposed to transfer there as a junior next year, do you like Atlanta?? cause im looking into moving there and going to school
@@Lybeexy I love it here! If you’re black, there’s nothing like being in a city surrounded by black people because you feel like you fit in. You don’t feel like you don’t fit because people see you as a person and not as “a black person”. I never realized the diversity of black people until I moved to Georgia. Also, while people say ATL is super dangerous, it’s really not as bad as they say. I would say that Los Angeles is more dangerous than Atlanta, you just have to be street smart and not be walking around late and such.
I honestly feel like most students live on campus? Thanks for the video! GSU is a great school professor and student wise, and location too. There's lots of events going on all the time too.
What about the LGBTQ community? I’m trans and plan on transitioning when I go to college, in your honest opinion do you think that I will have a safe experience there?
Honest opinion is you shouldn’t go to school. You should go get help! The average GSU student is a moron, and you would fit right in with insanity like that. “I’m trans” no you are a child who needs to grow up.
Hey! Alum here! There are a ton of options but the top competitors in the industry get a lot up certifications after graduating so have money to the side to keep up with certifications to stand out not required but you are more thank likely to get the job you want. Also CIS internships are great from GSU
the only question I have is living off campus safer? I love GSU but my only concern is safety.. and nobody talks about this in their videos. And I will be living in my own apartment
@@bobthebuilder4683 I landed a six figure job after graduating with a CIS degree spring 2022. Many of my other friends also landed nice jobs and GSU’s CIS program is ranked top 10 in the U.S, so it’s not a “joke” major. Although I won’t lie the classes are easier than Computer Science. Anyways, at the end of the day your success is up to you. Your major helps, but you have to put in the work to make connections and build your network.
By chance do you know if GSU offers a Major in Dentistry?? I did some research but I didn't see any dentistry related major(s)🤷♂️maybe I didn't check properly.

How did you do?
Thank you for this video btw!

GSU is very accepting of LGBTQ+

I just commute all the way from north Fulton. I’ll never live in that city. It’s a dump.
it has its good and bad parts like every city, to say it’s a dump is a stretch.
@@lexifrancis yes I’m from georgia just not atlanta and I love it here, it’s definitely not a dump
also i’d rec off campus housing ! but it’s whatever you feel comfy with
@@lexifrancis and what parts are you referring to? Because it sure as hell isn’t around the campus.
I’m planning on taking the CIS major as well. How would you rate the major?
fun and easy so far!
It’s a joke of a major for people who don’t want to take math classes.
Have fun!
