I don't have the time to either watch the lives or play the game so I'm glad to see the content analysing different situations, it helps me with the itch to play the game and flex my EVE brain, especially when related to J space as that was my preferred way to play the game, exploration, cloaks and some skirmishes here and there. Keep up the good work man, you're on the right track, as I said previously, 20k by the end of 2023 is doable!!!

I would say not to worry about D-scanning too much, yes it can save your ship but i believe the stress of being paranoid and always looking over your shoulder is greater than the stress of losing a ship.

Is it bad that seeing your loss, and seeing you breaking down the oversights that went into it (which look a lot like the oversights that have gone into mine) made me feel a lot better about the ganks I have lost ships to? I have barely *earned* 2B ISK in my time playing EVE (only a few months), so seeing such a big killmail made me feel better about my smaller (just lost a 150M explo ship yesterday to carelessness, for instance, which is my largest) losses.
Also, that demonstrates a really good, useful practice: digging into failure and figuring out WHY it happened, rather than just getting mad at the situation or yourself. Failures are going to happen, it's inevitable. What matters to your long-term growth as a player is what you do after.

Been playing for years and I still make rooky mistakes. I jumped through a gate straight into awaiting camp. After some work I was able to warp out. But for some silly reason I decided to warp straight to a astroid belt at 0 km distance. you can guess the rest. Why oh why did I pick 0 Km. Lesson learn. Take a deep breath first before action.

Any worse stories here than mine?
I just started nearly for nearly a month. While doing the AIR missions, I finally tried to do PVE hunting down non-capsuleers in hi-sec. While approaching the Guerista NPCs, I noticed Im getting hit quite harder that usual. And even before I could react to bail out, I was done. My interest kinda fell off a bit too cause of the fact that I was expecting some kind of regulations when it comes to new players especially in HI-SEC. What's worse was after "getting the candy off a kid", he had the guts to tell me to fuck off?!!? lol

you know you can just shift+click a module to overheat it? Shift + keybind also works so i think there is no need for extra bindings

Dropping a booster during combat is usually done by players who have carefully considered the fit of the ship and the consequences and benefits of the booster. So if the booster gives shield booster buffs but kills resists, they are not using a resist fit. Just dropping it as a hail mary - probably not going to save you since any boost gain is offset by increased incoming damage.

You can actually just hold shift and then left click the module you want to overheat. 😮

How to stop suice ganking my friend has been playing for a month and got into high sec mining in his down time he has mined about 40mil in the past week but been suicide ganked 3 times meaning he is currently making -110mil a week 😂😂. Looking for video to help him out but i can see its get frustrating for him so he will probably quit, sad that new bros cant even mine. I assume its just cause the rich people who have been playing for years do it out of boredom?
He needs to make himself look unappealing. If he is mining solo there is only so much you can do, the ganks are somewhat inevitable.
Other than that, playing like a bitch is the best way, I’ve died to players fewer than 30 times across 5 characters in an 11 year time span.
