- The “deafening” screech of tires drifting at 32nd Street and Hoyne Avenue have made it impossible for some residents to sleep. The meetups - known as street takeovers - draw crowds of 100 to 150 people and can last from midnight until 3:30 a.m.
Are the cops powerless to stop this?
They choose not to because they are playing politics. They sit back and watch the city burn so that democratic leadership looks bad. They don’t like being held accountable for their actions so they decided to collect paychecks and not act.
Cause of bad cops, good cops can't do anything. They will get jail time or get hurt.
That has to be so frustrating for residents.
These are your kids, Chicago.

Police are at fault. Purposefully letting it build up instead of applying for help from State Police.
This is pretty tame Chicago. I’d much rather this happen on my block than shootings and robberies. I guess it’s okay when nascar does it?
