I’ve been watching you for years and today your video is accompanying me as I get ready for my wedding day. You don’t know me, but today you’re a part of the most important day of my life💜
Good morning Emily! My gosh that sounds like a heavy mom week! I want to provide you with some comfort as you do for me and say: you are doing a fantastic job! Thank you for giving us this video on this wonderful Saturday morning 💜
Emily, you are so blessed to have such a loving support system ❤❤❤. I am 50. A few months after our granddaughter was born she came to live with us. She will be 4 yrs, in a few months. She was enrolled in a learning based playgroup last year that met once a week. Last year it turned into a virtual playgroup. We were set to enroll her in a full time preschool this fall. After a conversation with the preschool, hubby and I are not comfortable with the lack of safety protocols, for this school year. Please wish me luck! I need to brush up on some fun and entertaining preschool, learning activities! Thanks for sharing with us!!
I would love this. Since my current pallet is getting old (I try not to keep makeup for longer than three years), I bought a backup during the one-day sale Ulta had. Last weekend, my church had a 90's weekend. Dark and Early was perfect for the grunge eye look I did.
I love listening to you talk about school days with your littles. My son graduated high school in 2013 and my daughter (who is 8 years younger) is starting her senior year and this is her first year to drive herself to school. They grow up so fast! Your kids are at such a fun age, enjoy everyday like you do, Em!
It is SO hard to get new schedules going with kids. I was just planning out my new schedule for when my daughter goes back to school and my son starts preschool. It seems pretty intense because I work early (5-7). You are not alone! Also, I love that your dad came to watch for a bus.
Im 42 and suffer from motion sickness even if Im driving. May I recommend peppermint oil. I keep a roll on peppermint oil in my car and it helps with motion sickness so much. You can also put a few drops on a cotton ball and use a clothes pin to fasten the cotton ball to your air vent and it will go throughout the entire car. Ive never done that, but seen it done. I keep a roll on peppermint oil in my car all the time cause I use it so much
I often feel nauseated in the car especially if the a/c is not blowing full blast. I am definitely installing the cotton ball with peppermint oil on my passenger vent. Thanks for the tip.
On your recommendation I tried the Shady Beaches wet n wild bronzer. Oh my goodness! It was like the sky opened up, a beam of light rested on me, birds were singing, it was perfect for my skin! I have been searching for a perfect bronzer and this is it!! Thank you
I love that line of bronzer. I own a few of them as some are matte and some have just a hint of shimmer and luminosity. They're so beautiful and you can't beat the price. 😊
@@lexijones8414 I'm so sorry! If the wet and wild ones are too orange, I would suggest the Milani silky matte bronzers. They are not orange at all, and in fact a little more cool toned. I believe they come in 3 different shades and they're really easy to blend and pretty on the skin. If you're looking for a drugstore bronzer I would try that one. You may like those better. 😊
@@lexijones8414 I have tried just about every other bronzer on the market and they were all too orange or just looked like dirt smudges. Keep trying. There has to be a perfect one for you too!
Emily, we really appreciate you! It is so beautiful to hear your gift of story/situation-telling. Few people have it (my grandmother had it and it was so special). What makes it extra special is your super positive attitude. I wasn’t expecting, however, to find you had a secret to your positive attitude: blush. 😃
Love this! It is so nice that Bitty has Belle’s former teacher! I loved it when that worked out for my kids…I knew what to expect from the teacher (and vice versa). Already having a rapport with them makes it a lot easier! You’ve got this, mamma Emily!
The bus not showing up brings me back. It’s the worst when it doesn’t show up on miserable days. It will happen. Be prepared. You will have troubles too in beginning of the year. Maybe new drivers and they don’t know the route. Lots of kinks to work out.
It is usually due to new drivers. I could set the clock by Ms. Connie, my kids beloved bus driver! She was always on time! Right down to the minute. With the hiring shortage, I see signs for bus drivers all over. There is a HUGE learning curve for new drivers and it takes time to learn the route, especially when drivers are likely to have to contend with morning traffic, trains and construction. It will likely be worked out within a week or 2, but the school should have reached out to parents to communicate this! It is unacceptable to have a child (and parents) waiting for a bus that never comes. The principal should be alerted to this situation and the transportation department should also be notified to make sure there isn't some kind of major miscommunication.
Gotta love a Shop My Stash video! What a beautiful look you created! I bet the teacher loved those jalapeño eyes. I had the same bus issue with my twins when they started kindergarten. When the bus finally started coming, they drove by my house 4/5 days that week & had to turn around & come back. I ended up just driving them & letting them take the bus home. The added stress on the girls is what annoyed me the most. I hope everything starts to run smoothly & Belle has the time to try her school lunch! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend (it finally cooled down a little here in NY) and that everything runs smoothly this week!! 💜
I have to say, I was so excited to see you were using the hot jalapeño palette, I literally just got it in the mail yesterday! I was thinking, alright Emily is going to show me how to rock this non-neutral (to me) palette! And…I love! Your looks that pushes your personal boundaries because your looks are so fresh and ‘wearable’. Thanks Em!!!
I appreciate your attitude of needing come comfort. On weeks like you described I often struggle to know what will be comfort.♥️ Sending wishes of a better week next week.
I am 65 and retired now. I raised three children working full time outside the home. Be thankful you do what you do and where you do it! It could be so much worse… so look on the bright side and be thankful for the little things…all will be well! Mask-up! 🥰
Emily, what is your nightly schedule? When dinner must be done, baths/showers, kiddos to bed, and finally when you go to sleep? Just wondering because you still manage to get up so early to film etc. Do still manage to have some hang out time with hubs before going to sleep? My husband and I are struggling with this and still getting sleep ourselves. I need insight, Lol.
Greens are my absolute favorite eyeshadow colour ! I think it’s a universal colour that looks good on everyone it’s a shame that where I live in Canada we don’t have an eighth of the line and we never got this palette 😢.
My son is headed to 6th grade. On his first day of kindergarten, I was a mess, he's my only child. He got on the bus fine, bit when the kids got dropped off, he wasn't on the bus. Another mom, who I met that morning and is now a great friend, to me to get in her car and she drove me to the school. There was a mix-up and they put him on the wrong bus! I asked my little just turned 5 the week before baby, why did you stay on the bus? He said, they told us don't get off if you don't see your mommy or daddy. Oh, my heart! I want to cry 6 years later typing this out! He was fine, but it was super scary.
Hi Emily, there are always so many mixed emotions seeing the little ones starting school. I hope Belle gets used to her lunch routine soon. Your look is beautiful. Have a great weekend 💕💕💕
You are so nice to wake up with! I appreciate how you don't complain about being burned out or not inspired by make up. I know it has to happen, but it happens in every job, right? Other make up RUclipsrs vent about it and then I feel bummed out. You are wonderful to chat about what's happening in your life and make it fun and interesting, no matter what !
Oh Emily, I’m sorry you’re having a rough week! As moms we just have to grind it out sometimes, like you said. It’s what we do! Loved this video and I’m hoping you get your schedule smoothed out really soon. I am preparing to send my son back to college for his sophomore year, and my daughter will be a senior in HS…so college applications await. I miss those days of elementary and pre-k! I know you are enjoying the precious little moments of their childhoods, even when car-sickness is involved. 😉😘💋
Yay Em for going for the green eye shadow! You said you were going to go for some color but its even more vivid than I thought you'd do for an every day look and I like/appreciate it.
That Almay blush is my absolute favorite blush. I've gifted at least 7 in the last few months! Sometimes I miss my kiddos being little but I sure don't miss school bus stress :-)
I feel you! Hard three weeks for me too. My kids have been sick for the last three weeks. Roseola, viruses, cancer sores inside the mouth for baby from the high fever...now he is congested with cough 😢 I'm tired, no sleep and have to wake up 6:30am to drop of my oldest to the bus station. Hoping for some normal days 🤞
Shop My Stash vids are ALWAYS great! I find them inspiring to shop my own stash. I loved when the kids were in Pre-K. I love that age. It’s ok to vent! Anyone who’s ever been a mom understands. ❤️❤️❤️ There was one point when my 3 were all in different school buildings.
I feel like each of us here with kids in elementary school can totally relate to your pains this week! My little guy starts kinder on Thursday and 😲 he’s my third and final baby starting school! I’m not prepared! I’m here in solidarity with you! ✊
thanks! Another factor - the bus lets out on a pretty busy street where everyone seems to speed... that was weighing on me, too. It'll be a calmer week ahead! :)
@@emilynoel83 it is absolutely the right decision! I would feel the same. I'm far away from those times, but our elementary school is within our development, so my boys didn't ride a bus until middle school. Even then, the bus picked up on our street. We were very lucky.
I love old school eyebrows pencils because of the amount of product that you get in them. It's so much more than a retractable pencil. Same goes for eye and lip pencils
I had bus issues with my girls this year too!!! Monday they picked them up and dropped them off, but Tuesday went past our house twice and didn't stop, super aggravating, especially since the oldest has been riding the bus since kindergarten and shes now in 5th, same bus same stop every year, but this year has already been a mess and it's only the first week 😒🙄
Your talking about taking your kiddos to school really brings back memories! We’re retired (where did d time go?!!) but oh, how I now cherish those memories! Hard to believe how fast time passes! Enjoyed the video and shopping your stash. Always enjoy a GRWM! Thank you!
Good luck with acclimating to a new schedule with the kids! We haven’t started school yet but it’s always a challenge the first few weeks! Love hearing the stories about school! Keep them coming! You are such a breath of fresh air on RUclips Emily! I just love your calm demeanor. You are truly a joy to watch!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When my nephew lived with me we always has bus issues, either it'd be way to early, late or drop him back off at 5:00 like they forgot he was on the bus so I finally worked it out to take him. It is incredibly frustrating. My HS colors were green & gold 😊😊
My oh my what a week you've had, Emily. No doubt that the routines will settle in and smooth out, just hang in there. Your video today was so entertaining and so personal and was very much enjoyed. You really rocked the green shadows today! As always you look beautiful. Thanks for all the hard work you managed to get in and pull this video off so all your fans had something to see on Saturday. Like many others I look forward to the Saturday morning videos.
I feel like this a good time to tell you how many times I have watched/listened to your Deep Chats videos. (Y'all, there are three of them, if you haven't watched, DO IT! And you're welcome!) I have started getting up an hour earlier just to have ME time. I workout, shower, do my hair and makeup, and eat breakfast before I leave for work. Emily, I cannot tell you how much those videos speak to me. I love your channel, and I am thankful for you.
I was just thinking I needed Emily’s input on makeup and here you are! I love a good comfort makeup video! I also need some good advice on makeup you could take camping, in other words, makeup that wouldn’t melt in a hot car. I won’t have access to air conditioning for a week and the temperatures have been in the 90s. Is it possible to bring some makeup with you in this crazy summer heat? Would bare minerals work? Lipgloss in a tube? A full face video would be fun because it is always more fun to get ready with you!
Poor little Bitty. My baby girl is now 22 years old but I remember the days of the barf buckets, the complete wardrobe changes in the trunk for when she got sick, etc. like they were yesterday. I know you must’ve given her the biggest hugs but I wanted to send you some big hugs because sometimes being the mama that has to take care of all of that isn’t all that fun either 💚💙
Awesome video! Mama of 3 here with oldest graduated this year. When we're in the midst of the daily grind, it's hard to see the big picture. Parenting is the longest ever marathon until it's over suddenly. I highly suggest Hubby or the parents taking your other daughter to school. Speaking from experience, It's no fun using up energy driving all over town each weekday and still having little ones and housework to come back to. I hope you have a great school year!
It’s busy busy when your kids are young but as they get older it’s busy too but a different kind of busy. Wish you well! You look gorgeous no matter what eye shadow you wear. Did a nice job on the green would be challenging but you did a great job! I always like connecting with you because you lift my day miss getting my Emily fix when I don’t see a video so I look at an old one. You brighten my days….it’s not just about the makeup but just seeing a good friend.
There is nothing, nothing at all, like an Emily GRWM, video. The joy and concern you show for your girls is refreshing. The gift of children is they grow up in spite of our fears and tears. The best looking room Mom on RUclips. Thank you for your patience, kindness and calm sharing. Peace and All Good 🙏🙏 ConB, Jersey Shore Girl 🐟⛱️⛱️😘🙏💕☀️😎
I’m a Oregon Alum and we usually go to a game or two a year, will definitely be picking up this elf bite size for game days since you mentioned it. GO DUCKS!
I feel your back to school pain, Em! I'm a mom of a 6th and a 10th grader AND I work for our school district. This pandemic has been...ROUGH. We just want to go back to pre-pandemic school but we're taking things a day at a time.
Aww Emily I hope your week gets better. Which we know it will or it will be gone soon. Im so shocked at how fast this year has just flew pass like where is summer I don't remember spring. This is unreal. I pray all the children are safe and have a great school year.
i'm 43 and myself and my parents were chatting about bus times recently ...i never got off at my home ...always at friends' homes ...funning thing was a lot of the time those kids had after school activities so that meant i was alone waiting for my parents to show up ... i would hang out in the tree, whatever ... cause there was no parent home who could let me in ... so it rained, (i carried a coat and an umbrella, so i was not totally out of luck) snowed whatever ... i always wondered if the neighbors thought i was nuts???!! ... i just hated having to be stared out (by passing cars) ... so i would be a kid ... play, skip, jump ..read a book .. whatever ... both my parents were teachers so they did the best they could for me. i can not imagine. u r doing great Emily. keep the faith. it will work out. we listen. WE CARE. hugs. ( ;
I know how stressful it can be getting them into a new schedule and if you have 2 of them going to different places holy smokes!!! This video was so relaxing for me!! Love these types sometimes!!
Needed this video, thanks Em. I wish I could tell you things get easier as the kids get older but sadly no. It's late at night here in California and I'm watching this after driving 5 hours home from dropping my daughter off at college. It's been an emotional weekend. This video helped me relax so I can go to bed. Thanks! -jenn
I’m currently binging your videos! I love how that foundation looks on you! The next time I go to a Sephora I’ll have to remember to check it out! I love your videos. It really is like sitting down with a friend. You give off such calming, comforting, and cozy vibes! Look forward to your uploads every week Emily!!💕
I so needed me some Em positivity this morning. Love and light to you. Thank you Beautiful! 😘 Would you consider doing a dedicated video to Fiona Stiles products? I know they're available on QVC and I've recently noticed that they're also on available on the Walmart website half the price. The luminous foundation is STILL my favorite foundation ever. I'm super curious about the brand, as I only have a few of their products and I love them all. Thanks Emily! ❤
The hot jalapeño is my favorite. The shimmers are next level. Color story works so well together. Add in a little bronzer in the crease and you really can do so much with it! I like the cream and sugar but I don't love it nearly as much.
Good morning! ☀️ I have a daughter was is starting first grade this year too. I am nervous for her but excited for her to see her friends again. She loves school and learning. I hope and pray all is well and our babies are as safe as possible. Thinking of you, friend! ❤️🌻
I love the bite size palettes. Have all but the blue one. I've been wearing the jalapeno and berry ones together all summer. Work together beautifully.
Im sorry to hear about the rough week you've had Em. I totally understand. I've got my one and only child who's starting Kindergarden this year, and oh boy, the past two weeks have been so crazy. That Mom life though lol. Hope this coming week is better for you. Much love from St Louis.❤
Oh man I so feel your energy in this one Em. My husband just deployed, and we decided to move to be with family for the year. Just moved into my in laws with my one and five year old boys. My oldest starts kinder next week and I am so overwhelmed and nervous for him with all this change 😩

Hang in there, Em! My son started high school on the 3rd and I'm still struggling to cope with it all.
Me, I love how excited you get about makeup, but in particular how excited you get about blush! It just makes you so happy 😀😊😌
i need more videos like this.. i juz love watching people putting on makeup on their face.. 😍
Your talking about taking your kiddos to school really brings back memories! We’re retired (where did d time go?!!) but oh, how I now cherish those memories! Hard to believe how fast time passes!
Enjoyed the video and shopping your stash. Always enjoy a GRWM! Thank you!
good morning, Emily! hope your weekend helps you relax and recharge from the hectic week❤️
Oh my goodness Emily! Its always good to see you on Saturday. Things will fall into place as the school season progresses. 🧡
Good morning beautiful Emily! I love the title of this video. For me is makeup therapy every time I do my makeup 😁
Please try the Vaseline eyelash hack! If you do it, I'll be brave enough to try it also.
Moooovemennnnt! Lol
The Catrice powder lives on my makeup table.
good!! haha! It needs a stable home :D
So glad you used that ELF palette. I never knew how to use that one so I will try this today. Thanks
I always look forward to your Saturday morning videos. It's a perfect way to start my weekend on a positive note after a long week. Thank you 😊
There is nothing, nothing at all, like an Emily GRWM, video. The joy and concern you show for your girls is refreshing. The gift of children is they grow up in spite of our fears and tears.
The best looking room Mom on RUclips. Thank you for your patience, kindness and calm sharing.
Peace and All Good 🙏🙏
ConB, Jersey Shore Girl 🐟⛱️⛱️😘🙏💕☀️😎
Its been a weird rough week for me too, Em. Thanks for the comfort video ❤
Agree a little extra love on the eyes with a mask. I’ve been doing glitter and tons of mascara when I can. Thank you for promoting mask wearing 💕
Yes Em I was gong to say I can see that beautiful looking yellow 💛 tone peeking out love it. ❤💖💚💛
Em, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the eye look! It looks so pretty on you ❤️
i'm 43 and myself and my parents were chatting about bus times recently ...i never got off at my home ...always at friends' homes ...funning thing was a lot of the time those kids had after school activities so that meant i was alone waiting for my parents to show up ... i would hang out in the tree, whatever ... cause there was no parent home who could let me in ... so it rained, (i carried a coat and an umbrella, so i was not totally out of luck) snowed whatever ... i always wondered if the neighbors thought i was nuts???!! ... i just hated having to be stared out (by passing cars) ... so i would be a kid ... play, skip, jump ..read a book .. whatever ... both my parents were teachers so they did the best they could for me. i can not imagine. u r doing great Emily. keep the faith. it will work out. we listen. WE CARE. hugs. ( ;
Yay, Good Morning Emily! Sorry for your crazy week. I hope things get better. In my opinion you're doing all the right things to be safe.
Sending blessings your way for a wonderful week ahead. I love Saturdays with Emily and coffee.
Thanks! -jenn
Good morning, thank you for taking the time to make these videos I was clueless concerning makeup before I started watching.
Hang in there Mama! We're here for you! 💗
You’re Supermom!! Life with school age babies can sometimes be overwhelming! You’re doing Ana amazing job!
Your Mama raised a good Mama. Hang in there. Many blessings for you and yours.
I so needed me some Em positivity this morning. Love and light to you. Thank you Beautiful! 😘
Would you consider doing a dedicated video to Fiona Stiles products? I know they're available on QVC and I've recently noticed that they're also on available on the Walmart website half the price. The luminous foundation is STILL my favorite foundation ever. I'm super curious about the brand, as I only have a few of their products and I love them all. Thanks Emily! ❤
The hot jalapeño is my favorite. The shimmers are next level. Color story works so well together. Add in a little bronzer in the crease and you really can do so much with it! I like the cream and sugar but I don't love it nearly as much.
The Wet n Wild retractable eyebrow pencil is hands down my favorite brow pencil. It’s better then the elf one and better than some high end ones.
Good morning! ☀️ I have a daughter was is starting first grade this year too. I am nervous for her but excited for her to see her friends again. She loves school and learning. I hope and pray all is well and our babies are as safe as possible. Thinking of you, friend! ❤️🌻
You vent as much as you need to. We are here for you ❤️
Getting ready with Emily - the best! Good morning! 🤗
i loveeee my saturday mornings with you, emily! 🥰
Would love a video on quick makeup with kids or recommendations on types I know stick is probably best for ease but I don't know which to pick
Love the green colorful eye look! 💚
Right there with you sister, working out the kinks of the first week of school. We will get into a groove soon enough....
MAC Velvet Teddy is really *chef's kiss* 😍 It's my holy grail lipstick; and it looks great on all skin tones, especially on you Emily! ❤️
Thinking of you and the kiddos as you adjust to this new chapter!
I like the green elf eye palette!!
Oh man I so feel your energy in this one Em. My husband just deployed, and we decided to move to be with family for the year. Just moved into my in laws with my one and five year old boys. My oldest starts kinder next week and I am so overwhelmed and nervous for him with all this change 😩
Thank you to your husband who serves. God be with you, your husband and family this next year.
I’ve gotta get that Almay blush 😁 and I really want to try that concealer. The bean story was too funny! I hope your sweet girls have a good school year.
