1/02:34 I agree with what you’re saying but two things. Ody was arrogant enough to reveal his name when he thought he had the upper hand, and that was when he wasn’t riding on off the god weed (interpret that however you want :) ). Also and giving Ody more credit on this one- he doesn’t want to clash with another goddess if he can help it. Ideally if he can keep her off guard and guessing just how dangerous he is he can avoid a direct confrontation. If she thinks he’s more than a man and gets intimidated that’s an advantage for him. The fact she is intelligent enough to call his bluff and see through the ruse immediately from a storytelling perspective tells us a few important things- mostly that this is not a being like the Cyclops he can outsmart but also she isn’t a creature like Poseidon who can easily overwhelm him. She is AS intelligent as he is, no more and no less. The song does a superb job of establishing in every way that they are equals in this fight, each batting aside the others bluffs before both harmonizing and attacking. One of my favorite songs in a great saga.
Eurylochus' doubting starts at the beginning of the Ocean Saga, with "Storm" notice how _everything_ he says is him disagreeing in some way with Odysseus "Captain we will capsize/our fleet will fail" "We're taking too much damage" "At this rate we wont make it out alive" Its much more noticable in "Luck Runs Out" because he _confronts_ Odysseus, but the problems did not start there (Tho to be fair to Eurylochus, Odysseus _was_ being reckless with that storm & he _refuses_ to listen to Eurylochus' concerns, just tells him to shut up & fall in line)
Nothing against that other artist, but I'm sorry, their Done For doesn't hold a candle to Anniflamma's Both in terms of animation (the anatomy, the scale, "camera" angles, movement/flow of the animation) AND in terms of _interpretation_ Circe is POWERFUL, she's a minor goddess, daughter of a _Titan_ & Anniflama's Circe exudes _power_ (also her fight scene is accurate to what Jorge intended) I also prefer Anniflama's version of "Other Ways" because it shows how forceful shes being (there's a _reason_ Hermes in the Odyssey _warns _ Odysseus not to deny her advances) You should check out Anniflama's "Other Ways" !

Love your reactions! Vengeance saga was just announced for October 31st and cant wait to see you look at it. Have a great time on your channel i wish you all the subs
By the by, idk if anyone has told you before, but with the backing vocals the musical works with a kind of rule, I forget what it's called by basically every single voice that sings has to be present in-world except for the gods, they're the only ones that can produce their own backup vocals on command out of thin air, for humans there have to other people singing for them to have those extra vocals xD
Oh, if youre willing to watch more than 1 version of the animatics I 100% recommend Wolfythewitch's "Just a Man" Mircsy's "My Goodbye" Mircsy's "Keep Your Friends Close" Anniflamma's "Ruthlessness" Neal Illustrator's "Ruthlessness" Anniflamma's "Other Ways" Falperio05's "Underworld" These are all _excellent_ takes on the songs + you'll gain so much extra appreciation for the lyrics the 2nd time around

Its the same instuments and lyrics, but the way some lines are said is different (personally I liked the old versions better, but oh well) the reason for this, is some leagal issues. Honestly Athena wasn't right. The only reason that killing someone is brought up so heavily is because back then in Greece killing dying in battle is very honorable and killing people is the correct thing to get glory. This is also why i dont like Athena at this point (i know where the story goes but wont say) she didnt care about Odysseus (evan if she did she still easily abandoned him after a mistake that she caused). She wants a hero, she wants the glory that Odysseus can give her. Thats why she wanted him to kill the Cyclops. You said it yourself if he didnt tell the cyclops his name there is no threat as he couldn't tell Poseidon. So Athenas line in Remember them is wrong "he's still a threat until he's dead".
@@Zufallige.Eidechse.auf.Felsen Almost all (if not all) the Greek gods were out for themselves so that doesn't surprise me. I just think it would be a cool story if she did care but couldn't show it because of her position as a godess
@@ThatOneGuyPlays less that she couldn't as God's in the myths have been known to care for mortals on occasions (like the case of Poseidon and Pelops) its more her own stubbornness that prevents her.

This was such an incredible reaction! I love Epic so much and your insights were awesome! Thank you for this!
@@hindymarkowitz1340 Thank You! Glad you Enjoyed 😁
Eurylochus' doubting starts at the beginning of the Ocean Saga, with "Storm" notice how _everything_ he says is him disagreeing in some way with Odysseus
"Captain we will capsize/our fleet will fail"
"We're taking too much damage"
"At this rate we wont make it out alive"
Its much more noticable in "Luck Runs Out" because he _confronts_ Odysseus, but the problems did not start there
(Tho to be fair to Eurylochus, Odysseus _was_ being reckless with that storm & he _refuses_ to listen to Eurylochus' concerns, just tells him to shut up & fall in line)
Odysseus didn't cheat on his wife in the Odyssey. She didn't give him a choice. If something isn't consensual, it isn't cheating
@@dizzisliving2355 I REALLY NEED TO READ THE ODYSSEY! If he WAS Forced then it's not cheating AT ALL!
Nothing against that other artist, but I'm sorry, their Done For doesn't hold a candle to Anniflamma's
Both in terms of animation (the anatomy, the scale, "camera" angles, movement/flow of the animation)
AND in terms of _interpretation_
Circe is POWERFUL, she's a minor goddess, daughter of a _Titan_ & Anniflama's Circe exudes _power_ (also her fight scene is accurate to what Jorge intended)
I also prefer Anniflama's version of "Other Ways" because it shows how forceful shes being (there's a _reason_ Hermes in the Odyssey _warns _ Odysseus not to deny her advances)
You should check out Anniflama's "Other Ways" !
@@anaflores1960 I will put it on my watch list. The artists are amazing especially since I could never draw that well let alone animate, but yeah I understand the idea of liking a specific artist more than another 😄
Glad to see you reacting to more Epic! I really enjoyed your reactions and I’m looking forward to more, your takes are really interesting 😁
@@Dawn-qi5er Thanks 😁 the Underworld & Thunder saga comes out next week!
@@ThatOneGuyPlays Can’t wait! You’re one of my favorite reactors at the moment. A new saga (the wisdom saga) comes out August 30th. I hope to see your reaction to it!
People make a big deal out of 12 vs 10 years but they have been travelling since the war some amount of time. At least a few weeks based on in song references. It's not unreasonable that it might be closer to a year or two of wandering with some of it not covered in the songs.
The Betrayal of the Bag is the fucking worst
Love your reactions! Vengeance saga was just announced for October 31st and cant wait to see you look at it. Have a great time on your channel i wish you all the subs
@@MegamindsMaleWife Thank you! 😁
I watch so many reactions I'm not sure I commented before. But welcome to the winion group!
@@leadingblind1629 In Winion: "Welcome! 😊"
Oh, if youre willing to watch more than 1 version of the animatics I 100% recommend
Wolfythewitch's "Just a Man"
Mircsy's "My Goodbye"
Mircsy's "Keep Your Friends Close"
Anniflamma's "Ruthlessness"
Neal Illustrator's "Ruthlessness"
Anniflamma's "Other Ways"
Falperio05's "Underworld"
These are all _excellent_ takes on the songs + you'll gain so much extra appreciation for the lyrics the 2nd time around
@@audreyii6750 I'll keep them in mind for the next reaction 😉
Thank you for being one of the few people who understand that having the 2IC publicly questioning the captain is not okay and a recipe for disaster!! Not nearly enough people share that view, and i despair every time someone says, "yEaH, TelL hIM EurYloCHuS"💀
Btw Penelope's instrument is specifically the viola, not the violin, idk if you know the difference by ear, but it's an important distinction to make if you do
Also rip for the spoilers
@@Epicdragon-vn6hu Oh!? I'll have to look for the difference between the 2 instruments 😯 (Yeah the spoilers were brutal at some points....buuuut they were funny 🤣)

Oh, I already subscribed since the first reaction to the epic with the Troy Saga and Cyclops Saga.
There is still underworld, saga and thunder, saga, and plus wisdom saga comes out this month on August 30 though it is only the audio you would have to wait a little bit for animatics
@@alexeysimushov4971 I'll leave it up to the viewers if they care if I react to the Songs only or if I should wait for the animatics 😉 Thanks for the Subscription and Like 😁
Just as a little tip: Maybe change your style of thumbnail! I almost didn't click on it, because I thought it were just the two sagas, I had to read the title to register it was a reaction. If you make your face on the thumbnail bigger, it will probably get more people to click on it, since everyone will immediately see that it's a reaction. Other than that, i really love your way of reacting to everything! You go so much in depth on every song and understand everything that happens very well, becauseyou also notice the little things in the music/animatics! Keep it up!😄

When you get to the song “Suffering” Dont watch the animatic!
Please please please! Im beggin you! Start by listening to the song without the animatic, then the first 20 seconds of the next song without the animatic and then you can go directly back and watch the animatic. Please… 😭😭😭
I really hope you do this, cause its such a spoiler. Just your first listen. Please! Have the same expirence as the rest of us! Please! 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭
@@malenejensen02 😅 About that...I kinda already caught up to the end of Thunder Saga during this stream. It was just to long of a video that I decided to split it up. My Underworld and Thunder saga reaction is coming out Friday 😅 Sorry.
Odysseus did not exactly have a choice in the original story... kinda victim blamey to say the powerful witch/goddess holding him there was someone he could say no to.
About you’re many views: Yeah… Be happy there isn’t that many reacting to it yet. We (the Epic fandom) is seeking every single bit and drop of epic content we can get! 😈
But also your reactions are great! (Well I haven’t watched this video yet, let me go do that, then I’ll come back here again)
Jorge (Jay) is amazing! Trust me! We are suporting him! He wrote all the lyrics and music himself, except he had help with the mixing from JP Warner, and a producer I think? Maybe that was also JP. Dont remember. It's two years ago I saw those tiktoks okay!
“That is a great plan! …if you stil had a goddess friend…” LOL 😂🤣😂🤣
17:07 🤣
26:37 He litterally was! 😭 It’s written in the oddessey that Penelope looked out on the sea and saw a big storm in the distance. The storm Oddesseus were in 😭😭😭
28:00 😂 Kill them all!
30:30 “Poseiden is comming in like a boss battle” Funny you say that 😂 Cause Jay litterally descripes that.
38:25 “Jorge Rivera-Herrans” pronounced: “Hor-hey”
38:48 Someone dies at Circe’s island
Watch this video to get it. Its a Cut song. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT! Well… There’s a lot of cut songs you should watch… Actually can we do a video on that?! Its all small snippets. Want a list?
But this is the story of Elpenor:
ruclips.net/video/TGSFiGKR9F8/видео.htmlsi=QXHye00hX9l9Gstr
Now im done with the video! Great reaction! Really enjoyed it! Very much looking forward to the next video!
Sidenote:
Im really happy with the playlist you're watching, these are deffinitely the best animatics out there, some songs have fewer animatics (e.i. Storm only have that one animatic) but some songs deffinitely also have a lot too choose from.
A couple of things to end my comment.
1. The first two saga's have been rerecorded, so they sound a little different, than what you have been reacting to. Its the same instuments and lyrics, but the way some lines are said is different (personally I liked the old versions better, but oh well) the reason for this, is some leagal issues. Jorge was not being paid for the royalties for the first two saga's (Some people screw him over, OH WAIT, thats the producer! Right! Blair Russel I think. F*ck that dude. Anyway, so he went against the system, GO JORGE! 😆And then he made his own company "Winion entertainment", and released the other saga's and now the rerecorded once, under there.
Also GO Teagan, GO Steven, GO Armando, GO Luke and everyone else who came back to rerecord their songs)
2. Oh yeez... Dont remember...
3. The next saga comes out already the 30'th! Its going REALLY fast this year. I was there from the beggining when the first saga was released, December 25'th 2022, the second came quickly after, late january, but then we had to wait untill december 25'th again! 2023. Almost a year for The Ocean saga! A YEAR! anyway, now we have, the circe saga (feb 14'th), The underworld saga (April 26'th) and The Thunder saga (july 4'th)
See a patern? Holidays. But now we're breaking it.
August 30'th baby! "The wisdom saga"
That was a lot of text... Hope you read my comment anyway 😅🤞
@@malenejensen02 Thanks for the Excitement! 😂 I'm just glad people enjoy the reactions. Idk what will happen when the series ends and I react to other things after epic 🤔
Oh you're reactions are great and its actually amazing that you actually know some of the mythology so you can peice together whats happening if your confused i get so annoyed when i watch a reaction and they get an answer to their question that is just completely wrong
@@yourstruely7005 Thank You! I'm glad my Nerdom was able to make the reaction more enjoyable to watch 😂
I like your commentary

Dude. Circre is overreacting but its because other travelers hurt her family - she went full nope afterwards.
Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves of course - you have to be brave to be kind
Again for the people at the back; Being ruthless is safe, being kind is brave
@@aquakittykat That is true, but it's a risk not many are willing to take especially when Family or Loved ones are the cost of that risk. Remember Eurilicus wanted to just raid the island with the Winions. It's just a risk for any adventure
