Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6, NIV). For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8, NIV). It is through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross (where Jesus demonstrated God's grace to us) that we are saved. There is no good deed we can do to gain salvation, for our righteousness is as filthy rags before God. There is no sin that can undo one's salvation, once they have received the gift of ETERNAL life. When we are born again, we aren't given new life until we sin again, we are given Eternal life. Yes, we will still struggle with temptation and we will still sin, and that sin will interupt our fellowship with our Heavenly Father until we repent, but we are still His children (and only those who are born again through the redeeming grace Christ offers on the Cross are His children). And as His children, we have eternal life. Anyone who adds or takes away from this simple Gospel is a false teacher who is teaching a works-based gospel, which is NOT the Gospel found in God's Holy Word.
Exactly! ❤❤❤ Nothing is more important than the truth found in God's Word. Let's depend on God and His Word alone. And may the Holy Spirit illuminate our hearts and minds.
Interesting, I would encourage you to read the Bible for yourself as we always need to be in the word of God. The Gospel is simple, All you need to be saved is to believe in Jesus, you put your faith in him, not good works or good deeds. Jesus paid for all our sins so all we need is faith in him! Amen 🙏
