I think you should have mentioned GTA 4s terrible optimization. It's good to find a guide on RUclips on how to make the game run smoothly, as it can sometimes lag even on high end PCs.
i started playing the complete edition when it was in the latest steam sale around when this video came out. first 3 days of playing and id already put 30 hours into it. EVERYTHING feels better in gta4 to me. the cars feel heavier than 5 but they dont stick to the road like glue, making them feel more realistic and rewarding to pull off near misses/stunt jumps. the story is so much better. Niko has that 2000s suave and charm that makes me like him and his friends (roman, packie, francis, manny, jimmy p) much more. just feels like a gritty simulation of what things were like when the game came out.
@@BMoney8600 modders are modding gta4 features into 5 and gta5 features into 4. once they're pretty similar to each other it should be a good hold over for 6. especially with the new stuff that's been happening with modding the complete edition

Not to mention FAR better characters. I mean other than lester I can’t honestly remember any side characters names from GTA 5. But Playboy X, Dwayne, little Jacob, Brucie and so many more were so memorable and funny in IV
It was on sale in the Xbox store for 6 bucks so I bought it. I’m 26 and haven’t played that game since I was 8 yrs old. And omg it was an amazing play through. I forgot what it was like and the story is better than gta5. Probably the best story mode in GTA history.

Absolute Masterpiece. Flawless,fun,emotional, beautiful(for it's time) and a 10/10 protagonist too. The only disadvantage of this game is the vehicle control which is objectively clunky and mid but can also be funny too. I don't actually think there are many people that haven't played this game but If you haven't go pick it up rn.

I had GTA 4 briefly but never got the chance to beat the whole game. I was very late to 7th gen but I did beat the entire GTA 5 story and also the entire GTA Trilogy. I’m really excited to go back and play GTA 4 and beat the entire game, it will be brand new for me.
My parents had got me GTA 4 for Christmas 2014 when I was in 5th because they didn’t want me to play 5 thinking this one wasn’t as bad. I only really got a couple missions in because I got a PS4 a few weeks later with my Christmas and birthday money. I ended up playing GTA V in 2017ish and never came back to GTA 4 until this year, starting over from the beginning. Personally I find 4 better than 5. Best story, physics, and driving. The only places where I think 5 is better is graphics and gunplay.

My personal favorite GTA is still San Andreas even over 5 but I’m still very curious to see what 4 is like. I had it until I sold my ps3 in 2014 as well. I got a PS4 and GTA 5 shortly after.
@@quann06 IV is better than V in a lot of ways, if not majority of ways. Each to their own, but GTA 5 only really excelled in scale while detail was watered down quite a lot. GTA 5 was like an over the top Hollywood action movie, where GTA 4 is more grounded in reality to an extent.

Interesting fact the physics for gta 4 were built for the ps3 specifically which is why they were so advanced in 2007 the ps3 cpu destroyed any pc on the market the 360 was powerful as well and they had to dial back the physics for the next game because it was so brutal on systems and with the online mode the gta 4 physics would have been to much to run
I bought it on sale a couple of days ago, it's still really good. Physics, gameplay, story. It's missing online play unfortunately but that's only on PC. If you can get it on console, do it!
Everytime we've been in Vice City, everything is upbeat with wacky caharcters. When in San Andreas, its also upbeat but feels dangerous in a way. But when we're in Liberty City its always dark and gritty, even back in GTA3. It feels like a random pedestrian will pop outta nowhere and stab you at any given moment. Rockstar did a great job of capturing the essence of Florida, California and New York.
Honestly, I always felt that GTA4 was superior to GTA5 in every aspect - with the exception of the map (the scale and size of the map in GTA5 just blew 4 out of the water). I'm actually trying to install it back now - though GTA4's launcher and installation DRM is horrendous - since half the servers and services are offline / have been abandoned now. I know Steam has a version as well now, though I heard a lot of people are saying it has a lot of features missing / removed. Might just have to download a cracked / pirated version for a game I have a boxed copy of XD
What GTA stands for , gta san andreas and gta 5 are the best, but in terms of actual story, and pretty much everything else that makes a game great, gta 4 takes it every day of the week
Playing it now on Xbox Series. Sadly I bought it just before it was reduced more but still worth it. The physics are way better than 5 - took a little while to get used to the roll when driving but really does add an extra dimension - it's more rewarding and there's more tension when driving. The story is great - only wish that the figures in the cut scenes looked a bit more realistic, but the script overcomes that after a while. I hope they adda bit more weight to the physics in 6.
Did you download the Steam version? Do you know how it compared to the original as people are saying they removed a whole bunch of stuff? I've got my boxed version here but struggling with their ancient activation DRM that no longer works - so wondering if getting Steam version is worth it.

Works like a charm but you need the following mods: - DXVK (improves performance drastically as this game's port runs like shit) - FusionFix (fixes a lot of the issues that come with this game) - Radio Restoration (brings back the old radio stations that they removed in this version) - Console Visuals (this mod brings console visuals to the game, as the PC visuals look rlly trash) First 2 are mandatory, the last 2 are just personal preference, but I'm having a great vanilla gta 4 experience using just these 4 mods :) The only problem is that a lot of mods don't work on the new version, sure you can downgrade your game but I'd recommend keeping it up to date as more and more mods will become the norm on the Complete Edition version. Getting the steam version is worth it, especially if it's on sale, I got it for just $6 LOL
GTA IV is amazing. GTA V had some great ideas but its been ground into dust. I appreciated all the experimentation and such the developers did with GTA V......for the first 4 or 5 years. GTA IV had a unique mood in the series, more in line with games of the decade such as Getaway. Operating the vehicles well took practice, which was annoying at first but honestly felt rewarding once you mastered the physics of it. Also, Ballad of Gay Tony didn't get enough attention. Luis and his ridiculous friends are endlessly entertaining.
I’ve played V more but the physics in IV are so much better in my opinion. Crashing into someone during a high speed chase and they ragdoll out of their car it makes it more bearable when you loose speed cause it’s just funny

100% better than GTA 5 lol. I enjoyed this story mode and gameplay much more, especially the grimey, dark feeling of liberty city. This game needs a remaster, or even what they did for RD1. The DLCs gave it an over the top feeling. Miss it for sure. Good times.

how come my game runs fine up until i tab out than i try coming back in and its a black screen i cant even task manager close have to restart, any fix to this?
At 4:15 you said Rockstar didn't care about story mode was my reason to dislike, play RDR 2, the game with best story in history of video game.

What about 2024 man n I just had an update for gta 4 on the rockstar launcher app definitely fixed the crashing issue but now in the cut scenes no one talks so it's kind of funny n cringey at the same time
This game is totally broken for me in the first mission they just zooms into your headlights in your car and just stays there because of this game breaking bug I was not able to replay the game and I don't want to dust out the old PS3 just to play this game so I agree with most of the things you say but for me this game is unplayable

VC and then SA are best at bike riding.
