Just brilliant! I’ve always been scared to make a Dresden plate project but I think I will tackle it after watching you explain your process! Be blessed Laura and thank you for another great video!
Thanks Laura.... I love Dresden plates a lot and I’ve made two quilts so far ...but I love this table topper a lot...... As always your teaching is very precise and easy to follow. Thanks much Karol
What a great idea. How did I miss this? I love dresden. I'm making a big plate to be a rug! I didn't have the hand strength to make a jelly roll rug after I had all the supplies, so I made a basket weave rug w my strips. You know, big quilt blocks would make nice throw rugs. Hmmmm. Thanks for the vid, you're the best.☮❤🙋
Laura, you have the most wonderful projects! I love this Dresden plate-it is beautiful. I like the idea of having all the pieces already cut out and ready to sew. Thank-you for your videos-I have made several of your projects. Happy Stitching! Pam Miller
Wooley Girl , I agree Laura is my favorite quilting channel. I love her presentation. ♥️ I was hoping to find the same kit but I think they must out. 💜
Great project, Laura.👍😘 If I make one I will probably assemble the pieces using my serger and use my serger to attach the batting, backing and the top panels together before turning. Instead of applique I would use my embroidery machine and put a design in the centre and finish with my regular sewing machine.
TheCynedd thanks for your input! We are away at the moment but enjoyed watching without sound, and reading comments helps me too. I have a new overlocker (serger) and I can see you point! Thanks from Brisbane Australia
Thank you Laura for this tutorial, you always explain everything so well. I'm glad you showed the back of the finished project to give us ideas on how to quilt it. That is one area I struggle with. And I love your choice of fabric for the center circle, that came out great! Thanks so much for your time.
Laura what a great video, thank you! Is this kit still available? Love your colors. I have a large circle dining room table and would love the 40" [15"] blades. Plus I really need the precut if possible. Can you suggest a good pattern if this is not available at this time? Thank you for your tutorials.
This is so beautiful. I don’t think I can quilt it as well as you , but I would love to make this since I have a round table and it would look so nice.
Hi Laura! I'm really glad to finally watch a video for a dresden plate this size...most of the videos are for 9 or ten degree rulers to have a final product...(too many wedges). I would like to know if there is a store where to find a template for this and a bigger size dresden template; I have a table that is 45" diameter and I would like to try a dresden plate as a topper. Is it possible for you to teach us how to make a template this size? I really like and learn from your videos. Thanks!!
Where did you buy your Quilter’s Select mats? I have one and would like another. I live about an hour and a half from Toronto so did you get them in Ontario? I want a couple more rulers too. The ones I have are so awesome!
Just pure fan watching these beautiful Dresden Plate.❤️
The best tutorial by far on doing the Dresden plate design, great tutorial!

Still out of stock
Thank you, I like this think order the kit.
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Love this.
Do you have to quilt the table top when you use the fusible batting? Or can you leave it fused together?
You still need to quilt them as the fusible washes out. It is just temporary
Gorgeous
Awesome! And I love those colors! Sooo pretty :)

Awesome! I love the Dresden plate.♥️ 🙁 I was unable to find the same one that you have.
Beautiful
Did you quilt this on your Q20? Did you use rulers? The whole project is beautiful!
I ordered my set. I'm thinking a wall hanging for it
Cut the blades longer and that would be a cute circle skirt.
Very nice Laura
This quilt would also be nice if it was done in the rag quilt style
Laura did you quilt this one on the back side instead of the front so you could see what you were doing?? Very pretty great job quilting as well..
Yes I did 😁

Why is this plate called Dresden?
I love this, however I think it would be better to sew from bottom to top so as to not compromise the bias.
Beautiful
