All the turtles, flamingos, and all the other animals are so nice and precious. They deserve to be saved and protected. It is so sad that they are endangered because of human beings' bad habits.
I know many of the people in this film. I used to be a bit involved with sea turtle conservation curaçao in the beginning. They do an absolutely good job. Some people really give it their all to save or make it better for the local wildlife and pets.
We need courageous and committed individuals like these as life on Earth gets harder because of climate disasters. A quote from the book *The Great Waves of Change* by Marshall Vian Summers - "Do not worry that others are not responding. Do not concern yourself that humanity remains ignorant and indulgent and foolish in its conquests and its conflicts. For the calling is for you. You have to take responsibility for your life and for your reasons for being here. The calling is for you. You do not need a consensus with others to respond. In fact, you will not have such a consensus. You may be the only person you know who is responding. Even if this is the case, you must respond." (if anyone wants to read the whole book you can search the name and get it for free)
Seaweed was also in Florida keys and other Caribbean islands not just Curacao. Little is mentioned how toxic sunscreen and lotions affect negatively the coral reefs that also contribute to the tumors in sea animals. Otherwise good work to all the people that make a difference to improve the environment of sea life on the island.
I can’t understand why people deposit there wastes, in beaches not knowing the dangers, it will cause to this turtles and others animals in the seas, it’s just mind blogging and irresponsible. A huge hand out to this conservationists for doing the fifth thing.
Trash on islands comes from everywhere. It's carried by currents and tides.. All rivers lead to the oceans. Most of the trash is not thrown away on beaches but in cities. There's also LOTS of fishing gear.
I have a cat, sick at the moment and named Solo. I will release him to the ocean when he is cured too. I am so inspired :) Joke is a relief to see how we change the world to the harsh for these sea creatures to move on. It is so touchy to see people are doing tremendous effort to revert it. Thank goodness as the Richard Dawkins says...
Wonderfull, we all must do our best to give back to nature, oreserve and make tings right. I have a garden and try to make it as much as possible favourable for beneficial not only to insects but other animals too. I really love when i see animals nibbleing on my viggies, birds eating seeds from sunfloers. i really love that.

@Ryan Jachtmann Humans didn't didn't create kelp. There's no such thing as homeostasis on Earth. The climate is always changing. Ice ages and mass extinctions are the rule, not the exception. If it weren't for the industrial revolution, we would still be eating turtle soup, like the natives.
I just realized the lack of educational flamingo in my childhood.
Watching this video was like getting to see the sunshine break through on a gray overcast sky.
No it's not.. stop pandering for likes on YT and grow up.

Curaçao. It's sheer name is spellbinding. God save this Elysium and it's turtles! And bless all the people who do care.

stop eating fish if you care about turtles. Biggest killer of turtles is fishing nets.

the park rangers used to clean the coast from plastic this location that this was filming but they could not do much with the algae
Great content and great people - the planet needs many more to save this dying planet.
There is hope in our young people; unfortunately the old greedy men are in charge.
Excellent documentary. ** Thanks from Bisshi Porikroma and stay tuned with us.

So this is where my Curacao Liqueur comes from.
All this time I thought Odette is a Swan Princess, turns out she's a Flamingo Princess
Very stunning and brave how she saved the turtles while risking herself drowning on her paddle board.
Beautiful island! Looking forward to going back some day
The algae also work as air filters no? Kelp for example is as important as the Amazon rainforest no
Very good ecological program. Please don't stop it.
No boats? I’d be scared to get some weird fungus wading in those waters
Stacy Jae .Unless you are a Turtle there is no need to be scared .
Barry Baz that doesn’t make much sense relative to what i said but ok lol

Utter waste of time. Those turtles will be caught in the next tuna net that caters for tourist seafood market at the port.
This action is much better than pure money greed.
What has pollution got to do with climate change?
Because it increases the co2 in the ozonlayer at a rate that is way too fast for us to handle
