Gorgeous, the idea, the way it came about, the collaboration, the singing. Cheb Mami has an incredible gift. He's the first Rai singer I've ever heard, and I'm very impressed. The Middle East is so mysterious to us... and this is a song of beauty, both the meaning and the song itself. Wonderful work by everyone involved. This is musical magic.

See, Cheb Mami is Algerian, just as I am, and the language he sings with is not exactly Arabic, it's a mixture of Berber and Arabic , but for an Arab from the middle East, the Algerian language is very hard to understand, since we pronouce wordsdifferently. Anyway, Mami's words are very very poetic, hence very hard to translate 'cause they'll loose most of their meaning
