Unrelated but William will need a tremendous amount of luck to take on Marrow just on hype alone. And I single out William due to him having the potential to roll a good fruit to fight. Personally, and this is if I had some rule over fate when the fight happens, I would hope to see the Copy Copy fruit. Now for anyone who doesn’t know, I would suggest Tekking’s video on filler devil fruits, but this was in a Japanese Theater where the user can copy devil fruit powers. I would like this because add in Pearl and Marrow, and we get a fucking bone dragon he can become. I would want to draw this idea but I am very rusty and would take a while to make. So for anyone who has the passion and reading this, go on ahead with the idea.
@@kana22693 I mean I assume with the new powers he can get certain abilities to help him adapt and be useful. Haki seems to be more required along the Grandline and that in itself requires another power sheet. So probably would not need to worry about that. Logia's are fine with their fire power for sure but he can't use the useful abilities like being able to turn his body into the element when hit. That requires practice and reaction time that in game William has no idea on how to do. And there are certainly fruits that would be able to do the job. Goro Goro as said before. It's just on a thematic take and also on design alone, it would be very stellar.

problem is that this isnt anime it is D&D. unless you expect enemies to be low level crap then you cant expect to have 1v1 fights cause all D&D enemies are created with idea of using numbers against them.

William has to get **way** stronger with his fruit. Fights can last like, 10 days or something, if he can only use his fruit for 10 minutes a day- I belive that William and his crew will conquer the grand line! Because he's cool
I can't believe how easy they've made a plan! If I know my D&D players right, even a simple thing such as blowing up multiple walls to divide their forces and then using the chaos to sneak in would've took like 1 hour of talking in circles for any other party. I guess it helps to have Tekking (a guy who DM's for his IRL friends) in the group.
My first time being a dm, the people playing with me had to find a missing prince to get rid off a corrupt noble. It ended with the players overthrowing the kingdom instead and putting an owner of a random tavern in charge instead.
I've never seen a plan go off without a hitch though. It's usually a plan, then momentum, then chaos, then improvisation and hopefully a victory. If they're lucky, the improvisation will lead to a bout of inspiration for a crazy awesome development.
Rules lawyer's corner: William, cunning action is for dashing, hiding, disengaging Or subclass features, shouting at your teammates is a free action. You can only interact with one weapon a turn so Verona shouldn't have been able to draw his 2nd scimitar that stabbed his leg. Escaping a grapple is either athletics or acrobatics not acrobatics or strength check. The poisoned condition makes you attack and make ability checks at disadvantage, Not D. Steve should have been slightly nerfed by it, alot of poisons have rider conditions like damage or blindness while poisoned. Nat 1 friendly fire is funny although it punishes players alot more then it does NPC's. Frightful presence makes you frightened untill you make the save usually, not frightened untill the end of your next turn, what Not D. Steve did was more of a mass command using the "flee" command word. The frightened condition gives you disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while in line of sight of the source of your fear however it doesn't make you run away, it only prevents you from getting closer to the source of your fright. (there are examples of frightened having rider conditions like speed set to 0 or must use action to dash away or taking psychic damage) Disclaimer: I like the podcast and i don't think that a broadcast game should adhere to RAW since it would ruin the pacing, i just enjoy sharing my thoughts as a fellow DM. Edit: fixed what the frightened condition does (doesn't effect saves)
Some of these are helpful, but at the same time they should be allowed to play as they see fit. And while it's a core rule thing, this is one piece, a man can wield 3 swords. One in his mouth. Pulling a scimitar after shooting is the least of their problems.

I think William's been the best at taking charge so far. He's not perfect at decisions, but that's why it's good that he listens to his crew's input, with Duros as an excellent foil and First Mate. Rather, William, Ragnar, and Verona make a great Freudian Trio: The McCoy: Ragnar is emotionally driven and has the most wants (his family and revenge). The Spock: Verona chimes in with logic and a level head. The Kirk: William does his best to reconcile it all into the final decision as leader. All while Duros keeps everyone together as the heart.

Unrelated but William will need a tremendous amount of luck to take on Marrow just on hype alone. And I single out William due to him having the potential to roll a good fruit to fight. Personally, and this is if I had some rule over fate when the fight happens, I would hope to see the Copy Copy fruit. Now for anyone who doesn’t know, I would suggest Tekking’s video on filler devil fruits, but this was in a Japanese Theater where the user can copy devil fruit powers. I would like this because add in Pearl and Marrow, and we get a fucking bone dragon he can become. I would want to draw this idea but I am very rusty and would take a while to make. So for anyone who has the passion and reading this, go on ahead with the idea.

@@kana22693 I mean I assume with the new powers he can get certain abilities to help him adapt and be useful.
Haki seems to be more required along the Grandline and that in itself requires another power sheet. So probably would not need to worry about that.
Logia's are fine with their fire power for sure but he can't use the useful abilities like being able to turn his body into the element when hit. That requires practice and reaction time that in game William has no idea on how to do.
And there are certainly fruits that would be able to do the job. Goro Goro as said before. It's just on a thematic take and also on design alone, it would be very stellar.

once again passing to leave my like since I already watched it on twitch, this episode was wild, the tentacle battle, william having his first death battle with a villain(maybe his first scar? swirling hole in his chest like he received a rasengan), Verona having his time to shine, the only crewmate he hit this time was himself lol, Ragnar savage as always, Duros, lady luck wasn't on your side this time, but she will smile upon thee on the next battle.

problem is that this isnt anime it is D&D. unless you expect enemies to be low level crap then you cant expect to have 1v1 fights cause all D&D enemies are created with idea of using numbers against them.

I can't believe how easy they've made a plan! If I know my D&D players right, even a simple thing such as blowing up multiple walls to divide their forces and then using the chaos to sneak in would've took like 1 hour of talking in circles for any other party. I guess it helps to have Tekking (a guy who DM's for his IRL friends) in the group.
My first time being a dm, the people playing with me had to find a missing prince to get rid off a corrupt noble. It ended with the players overthrowing the kingdom instead and putting an owner of a random tavern in charge instead.
I've never seen a plan go off without a hitch though. It's usually a plan, then momentum, then chaos, then improvisation and hopefully a victory.
If they're lucky, the improvisation will lead to a bout of inspiration for a crazy awesome development.

Rules lawyer's corner:
William, cunning action is for dashing, hiding, disengaging Or subclass features, shouting at your teammates is a free action.
You can only interact with one weapon a turn so Verona shouldn't have been able to draw his 2nd scimitar that stabbed his leg.
Escaping a grapple is either athletics or acrobatics not acrobatics or strength check.
The poisoned condition makes you attack and make ability checks at disadvantage, Not D. Steve should have been slightly nerfed by it, alot of poisons have rider conditions like damage or blindness while poisoned.
Nat 1 friendly fire is funny although it punishes players alot more then it does NPC's.
Frightful presence makes you frightened untill you make the save usually, not frightened untill the end of your next turn, what Not D. Steve did was more of a mass command using the "flee" command word.
The frightened condition gives you disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while in line of sight of the source of your fear however it doesn't make you run away, it only prevents you from getting closer to the source of your fright. (there are examples of frightened having rider conditions like speed set to 0 or must use action to dash away or taking psychic damage)
Disclaimer: I like the podcast and i don't think that a broadcast game should adhere to RAW since it would ruin the pacing, i just enjoy sharing my thoughts as a fellow DM.
Edit: fixed what the frightened condition does (doesn't effect saves)
Some of these are helpful, but at the same time they should be allowed to play as they see fit.
And while it's a core rule thing, this is one piece, a man can wield 3 swords. One in his mouth.

I think William's been the best at taking charge so far. He's not perfect at decisions, but that's why it's good that he listens to his crew's input, with Duros as an excellent foil and First Mate.
Rather, William, Ragnar, and Verona make a great Freudian Trio:
The McCoy: Ragnar is emotionally driven and has the most wants (his family and revenge).
The Spock: Verona chimes in with logic and a level head.
The Kirk: William does his best to reconcile it all into the final decision as leader.
All while Duros keeps everyone together as the heart.
I think the last time I saw a negative roll was when I played Baulder's Gate on my uncle's old computer.

I started a one piece campaign inspired by this campaign with fishmen, giant,dwarf, and human playable races.
My group calls them selves the smelly byu pirates and their jolly Roger is a skull and crossbones laughing and bleshing.
I seriously hope this continues, I love this so much
