- Kim Wilde and Ricky Wilde serenade passengers on the train home after the MagicFM Christmas Party. After a truly rubbish day, I got on the train home and couldn't get a seat, a man pulled out his guitar "Oh here we go!" I thought. Then a drunken woman starts singing. Hang on a minute, I know that voice?! It really was KIM WILDE! This totally made my day. Thank you. She is an absolute legend! Merry Christmas everyone.

i think they are a part of her crew? Probably just trying to look ordinary... I think this was actually filmed in the studio you can research it too , it may not be as spontaneous as it seems. There is also part 2
Tube etiquette: Make no eye contact with, and do not speak with, other commuters. It's a hard habit to break even when there is a good reason. Having said that, it's pretty clear that there are people on that train enjoying the performance. You've also got to bear in mind that famous folk and performers are ten-a-penny on the streets of London. I can barely walk fifty yards through zone 1 these days without falling over several hovering Yodas, a few buskers and David Van Day.
In America, they're a dime a dozen :)

Saw Kim in Malmö Sweden on dec 3rd this year and even now in 2022 she still got IT! Loved this woman since late 80s and still do!!
amazing how detached , pathetic, cold and robotic modern people have become, a huge 80's star on the train and they are absolutelutely unmoved even at christmas time, can't join even a little a bit of fun ,

In fairness, while this was a big hit at the time, it’s not like Kim has remained a big star. I doubt many people born after 1975 would know who she is. They may have heard the song, but wouldn’t know she’s the original artist.

Or if you're most people on that train, you had a shitty day at your shitty job, and are trying to not be bothered on your way home where you can relax and distress from your shitty life situation. You don't care who is singing. You just want them to be quiet so you can relax and enjoy a modicum of silence and inactivity. Being famous doesn't exempt you from being annoying. And not acknowledging that persons fame doesn't mean your some neckbeard in a basement, because I'm pretty sure they're in a train.
First caught Kim and her brother's ride home when it was first posted. Each time I see it, I get that Christmas spirit all over again! Thank you, Ms. Eames for being at exactly the right place and time to record this wonderful classic Christmas moment. Thanks also to Kim for her wonderful reaction to it all as well.

Effing awesome. I didn't know about this until I saw Kim Wilde on BBC Breakfast talking about her new album - and this RUclips clip was mentioned. Kim admitted she was completely smashed! She seems such good fun - and this shows it! Many of you have said how brilliantly funny this clip is - yes sooooo funny! Well done Kim Wilde.
