- Опубликовано: 29 сен 2024
- This week we’re joined by falconer Jeremy Jones, and his two raptors, Ruben the tiny kestrel and Eagle, the red-tail hawk. We learn about the millennia-old sport of falconry and the many details and hurdles that go into being a falconer. We were amazed to find out it’s all about the hunt and these birds are trained to be hunting partners. It’s a fascinating look back into ancient hunting culture and into what makes a person want to hunt alongside raptors today. Listen, Learn and Enjoy.

yall been putting out some good podcasts lately, keep em coming!
Great Stuff!
Can i have one as a traveling nomad? If im backpacking down the Appalachian with one on my back we could knock the crows that follows us down and eat those? Doing it live with superchat questions would be good too
Not sure on that one but you would be the coolest backpacker on the trail!
Technically possible. It would depend on your state’s laws, and the laws of the ones you travel through. You most likely have to have a permanent mew in one location, but can travel out of state as long as you inform other states you will be traveling through.
While a cool idea, probably super difficult to pull off in this day and age. I could see someone as a general falconer (2+ yrs experience, but preferably more) making it work, however an apprentice should definitely stay close to their sponsor as they learn the ropes.
