    If you work on your own vehicle, then you will learn what tools you need.

      That for sure helps. Working on my 4Runner made me more confident in the vehicle and also made me realize that Toyota sticks to pretty much the same stuff across the vehicle. Haven’t gotten to do as much in the tundra yet since all I’ve really done is lift it.

    I have the ARB Jack. I bought it over a farm jack because of the safety and ease of use. I too don't want all my teeth knocked out in case my hand slips off the handle.

      You’re right. I have one but maybe I’m a wuss because Im just not comfortable using it. Heard too many old timers stories of close calls.

    Harbor Freight knives will do. However, I would not recommend their jacks. I don't want to aid and abed a suicide.

    lol....as a current Jeep owner (2018 JLU), that OBD2 scanner has been used many times.

      I want way more but I had to stop at 2 myself. Ones for my ski stuff and ones for emergency supplies.

    Good video, but I think it’s wrong to teach new people it’s okay to use Torx as hex - this may work in a pinch for some sizes but definitely not a true replacement.

      Genuinely curious why? I've done this for a long time now albeit not with the security key part.

    Another much needed video helping newer guys make sure they actually have the things u really may need and should have outside of all the cool gadgets that u see alot that are nice to have but wont get you out if a bind! My wife recently grabbed that obd II scanner after i researched it for her to diagnose her 4runner and it worked great..i really like it and is a very valuable tool esp for how much space it uses which is hardly any. Hope all is well out there in ur neck of the woods...have you guys had as much snow this year as usual?

    • @OXFOOT
      @OXFOOT  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah funny enough my GF is the one that got me that OBD scanner. I had some weird O2 sensor issue that kept throwing errors on my car and turns out after all that it was just a wire that wasn’t put back after some engine work at Toyota.

      We’ve gotten a ton of snow in the last two weeks but it really hasn’t been enough to get us back to regular standards.

    Definitely would look into something other than Gerber personally. Especially knifes and tools specifically. Definitely cheap for the money. Tons of objectively better options out there

      Yeah I like what they have to offer right now. I saw them shifting towards overlanding in the past year or so and now they are doing camping cooking sets. There’s other great brands out there but they’ve just been what I’ve been on lately.
