    Yay, beautiful. I climb solo alot and in scramble sections I often have that moment.. a primal check in vs reality check in. Capability and conditions. Doubting because of other people's dramatic accounts. I'm so glad you trusted yourself. I'm climbing this mountain next year and this was the perfect vid for me to see. Well done and thanks x

      @@FLORATOSOTHON I did not say it is not dangerous. I said it is not the most dangerous climb in Olympus (Stefani / Throne of Zeus is the hardest) or in Greece (some peaks like Tsuka Rossa in Tymfi and the peaks of Vardousia for example are rated as harder by climbers). The fact that it is deadlier is because thousands more people from around the world climb Olympus annually than other mountains in Greece, which are completely unknown. So statistically with so many climbing every year of course there are going to be more deaths than in any other place.

    Great inspiration video! Congratulations you did amazing pushing forward! I will attempt to do this hike later this year. Just curious to know your total time to reach Mytikas from the start of the trailhead? And what time (where you back by dark?), also how long did it take you to get down from Mytikas back to the trailhead to take the taxi back to the hotel? Thank you! You Rock!

    • @NatashaBergen
      @NatashaBergen  10 месяцев назад

      Oooo great questions! Let’s see if I can remember:
      -in total from the trailhead to the top and back I think it was 10-12 hours with stops
      -from the big rock on the trail to Mytikas it was about 35mins (I think I said in the vid if you want more accuracy)
      -from Mytikas back to the trail was fast! Like 20min? I was on an endorphin high
      -coming down was quick as I was running 😉 maybe 2-3 hours?
      I hitchhiked back to Litochoro and was their before dusk 😊
      Hope that helps!! I hope you have an awesome time!!

    Loved this video!
    I'm curious about food though(of course, you know me 😁) Traveling to
    different countrys, like you do, do you ever experience stomach problems?
    I mean in the sense of that there are different bacterial flora in different
    countrys? Like, don't eat the sallads or avoid tap water.
    How do you deal with that? Research?
    AND FINALY A HELMET! THANK GOD!
    Be safe!
    On to the next one!

      Thanks Björn ironically that’s one of my favourite compliments being a badass 🤩 no idea why! 😂 Of course a good question!! Love it! In Europe I haven’t had many issues when it comes to food (but I also don’t eat meat). One time I ate Guinea pig in Bolivia and that was kind of the end for me 😂 I lost like 8kg in a week. So some countries I’m careful.
      As for water, I always ask a local the first and/or watch the habits of the locals - are they going home with their groceries and a massive jug of water? 🤣
      What’s your two cents? I know you like to travel and like food 😄

      @@NatashaBergen I have to be careful traveling to some of Europe's southern countrys, like Turkey. But we travel so different you and I. You stay alot shorter than me doing your thing. Me, I'm more of a working mans holiday kinda guy, where you go for a week or two. I also try to avoid eating red meat as much as I can. But as far as I know, water is or can be a big problem going to another country. So whiskey for me it is!😅😂🤣

    Love your videos!
    For blisters, you could try climbing tape, or athletes tape. It’s a non stretchy fabric tape. If you find a good brand it will stay on for multiple days, you can even shower without it coming off, and the glue is designed to be safe for use on your skin.
    I like „Leukotape classic“, but that brand might not be available in all countries.

    I've not watched your video's before. You say that your project is to summit 50 peaks across Europe. I don't know for sure what kind of peaks that is ....but something tells me that you are trying to reach the highest peak in each country. But there are a couple of problems to that ....which is firstly that there are only 47 countries in Europe ....and secondly your chance to climb anything in Belarus or Russia isn't exactly bright ....and I think it wouldn't be to smart to go there. If you have gotten the idea that Georgia, Armenia and Azerbajdzjan are part of Europe....then sorry no....but you can of course try to summit them whatever....but they are high...like 4000 - 5000 m. I have travelled in Caucasus and was happy with only seeing those mountains ...without trying to do any kind of conquest....I don't feel any need to prove anything. I only travel in order to see and learn about other cultures and the land of theirs.

    • @NatashaBergen
      @NatashaBergen  Год назад

      Hey Dan! 😁 There are in fact 49 if you do the 'textbook' Crown of Europe - but you are indeed right, some countries will likely not be possible due to political situations so to make up for that I added a few extra 'highest peaks' which with all the subtracting and adding of peaks came to 50. It's a project for myself so I make the rules 😉 There are indeed some 'high' ones! If you know how to train and prepare anything is possible 😁 That's super cool you also love to travel and learn about other cultures! I hope you enjoy your adventures!! ps. if you wanna learn why I'm doing the project and in this way just check out my website, and if not cool, have a lovely day!

    • @Dan-fo9dk
      @Dan-fo9dk Год назад

      @@NatashaBergen Sorry ....but that "textbook" don't know what they are talking about. They might like to climb on mountains but knowledge of history and geography is obviously not their thing. Their claim of 50 countries in Europe is wrong. The correct number is 47 countries. Georgia, Armenia and Azerbajdzjan has NEVER been part of Europe. They also claim that mt. Elbrus (which is Europe's highest mountain) is located in eastern Russia.... Haha ...I can't believe how clueless it is possible to be. Most of Russia's territory are to be found in Asia .... Hence if someone follow that claim and tries to find mt. Elbrus anywhere in the eastern direction of the rim of the Pacific Ocean ...well than they are more than lost.
