Knowing how friendly Kitty is. I feel like, instead of Kitty bringing an axe or flipping the chair over when she/he is annoyed of the person staying there for too long. I feel like at first, Kitty probably should leave a note when you wake up kindly asking you to leave. Like "I appreciate your stay, But I would like to kindly ask you to leave please". If you decide to stay longer, Kitty would get more straight forward with the notes saying things like "Can you just leave my house please" and then "Leave my house!". Only then would she/he start flipping chairs, bringing an axe or whatever else.
Kitty could of also been warning the guy that an entity was coming and didnt know how, so by the end she ended up using her own blood (the black wording) to write with, but by then it was too late.
Naw maybe the camera is still there on the shelf and the head is the cameraman getting the camera shove in his mouth for staying too long (that explain why kitty is showing the cameraman the axe and the cameraman head on the shelf facing the camera at kitty)
Usually when your host begins to threaten you with an axe, its a good sign that its time to leave. Given that the cameraman addressed Kitty by its number we can assume he knew its background and was just seeing how far he could push things. Free food and safe lodging for the better part of a year for the cost of a couple cute toys is not a bad deal at all.
Would having plenty of cute items rise your chances of ending up on this level? Would Kitty calm down if you gave it a cute item every now and then, or it would just kick you out regardless? Makes me doubt Kitty's hospitality a bit and even wonder if there's a true breaking point to it's friendliness much like there was to SCP-066, and then have it turn into a highly aggressive entity changing even the overall characteristics of Level 974 itself...

I think Kitty's behavior was reasonable, kitty waited for days/months for him to leave, and never attacked him. He took that as an advantage to stay, kitty slowly coming near was I think a way of Kitty trying to say "Please leave", and I think Kitty kinda used the axe...
maybe also help clean the rooms or his belongings! like cleaning the dust off the plushies, or making sure everythings is in order and no things are missing or lost. i heard that he also has a kitchen, so maybe cooking meals would also help i guess

Hmmm, I like that you added more of your own spin on 974 and gave the idea that perhaps it's not the best idea to stay in this level for a long time. From the looks of it, I'd still say kitty is a friendly entity that welcomes people to his home, but doesn't like people overstaying their welcome. Basically, you can stay, but only for a few weeks at the most. After that, Kitty gets frustrated and will want you out. Honestly, I don't think that would be a bad choice for a level rewrite. As for "The Walking Dead", I don't have the best answer as I recall only watching maybe 1 or 2 episodes of the show and that was years ago. With that said, I did hear it's still a terrific show, but might have just suffered season rot like a lot of shows do.

This level seems nice and all but the lack of sunlight imo is really concerning because being there for a long time will definitely have an effect on you’re body and mind regardless of the hospitality quality of the place but I guess it’s better than fearing for life elsewhere.
This was terrifying! And the found footage was WOW! Kind of makes sense that one should not stay too long. Though the amount of time the wonderer was in Kitty's house was more than enough! Good amount of time to get rest, stack up on food and then leave. In this case though, many stated why did the wonderer not leave beforehand, well he did not have an item to give Kitty! To leave, you need a cute item to give to the entity. So really to survive, you need two cute items. One to enter, and a second to give to the entity. If you don't have an item to give, you are practically stuck in this level.
I think Kitty is just trying to tell the human to leave and thats it. He can only move things but not sure if he can use it. Like the axe for example, probably Kitty knows that its a weapon humans use which is a symbol of hostility. He shows the Axe as a symbol of displeasure. He can manipulate the fridge as well to show that the human isnt welcomed anymore "no more free food". In the end he just took the camera especially when cameraman said he has no cute thing to give him and be like "fine that thing u have on your hand is cute enough. Whatever. Leave now."

So Kitty's tolerance degree is 128 days or 1 day less than that. If you wish to get to Level 974, bring two cute items with you. So if Kitty starts displaying irritating behavior, give him the second cute item you have.
If I were to end up on this level I would do my best to be kind to Kitty and to give them compliments, ask them questions (maybe they could answer by drawing on the wall or something) and overall would leave if they told me to the first time. I would also try to see what Kitty wants from me exactly, like try to understand why they are observing me, if they want to befriend me, or if they’re just looking for some company. I would also try talking to kitty even if they can’t reply. Maybe I’d say something like: “hey Kitty, if you don’t mind, may I chat with you for awhile? If you don’t want to hear me talk, teleport somewhere and I’ll just go do something else ^^”

If anyone is wondering, the cameraman is OK. He refused to leave the level and kitty threw him out of the level. He was later found near a dumpster in level 11.
Kitty had every right they could to be angry, The cameraman was basically abusing the hospitality Kitty offered for them by just, Sleep, Find something to eat, Watch TV, Eat, Repeat, They'll accept the occasional visitor for a day or two in Level 974 but not a full-on roommate, Besides they are probably aware of the fact only one person can be in Level 974 at once so someone staying permanently for the rest of existence would be incredibly unfair since everybody needs chance to kick back and relax especially in a place as unwelcoming and unhospitable as the Backrooms.
Actually, the original canon of Kitty's level doesn't show any hints of Kitty becoming hostile or angry if you stay too long. But I like to think that could potentially happen if someone starts abusing Kitty's hospitality and/or testing it's patience.
If I was in Kitty's shoes, I'd get pissed off too. You're allowed to stay here but not forever. This isn't your house so you must leave soon. You're abusing Kitty's kindness and hospitality and it is justified for kicking you out of its home

If kitty was hiring a roommate, I’d be perfect. I’d use the free wifi and put a movie on and ask kitty to come sit down and I’ll make us popcorn, and ask if Kitty wants me to bring any items I’d do any dishes and make sure kitty has someone to eat, and has time to sleep (for once and not stare at me, dang I hope kitty is okay) I’d do chores and get any bugs outta there ETC! (I know the backrooms is not a real place, I js wish I could be kitty’s roommate if I was allowed)
You only want to stay for a month or less because after a while mr. Kitty will start wanting you to leave and if you don't leave he can kill you. To enter kitty's house you need to find a cute item and you'll noclip into kitty's house. To leave you need to give kitty your cute item that you found before you nocliped into kitty's and he'll noclip you into another safe level like the promise lands. There is also infinite food and almond water in the fridge and you can watch anything on the TV with bad wifi. Kitty will always be watching you curiously even in your sleep. Kitty can move very quickly and can teleport smoothly around the house. If you abuse his kindness he will get angry and also try to kill you. If you manage to noclip into kitty's house stay for about a mouth then give him your cute item and you'll get sent to another safe level. Pls like 👇

This level seems nice and all but the lack of sunlight imo is really concerning because being there for a long time will definitely have an effect on you’re body and mind regardless of the hospitality quality of the place but I guess it’s better than fearing for life elsewhere.

This was terrifying! And the found footage was WOW! Kind of makes sense that one should not stay too long. Though the amount of time the wonderer was in Kitty's house was more than enough! Good amount of time to get rest, stack up on food and then leave. In this case though, many stated why did the wonderer not leave beforehand, well he did not have an item to give Kitty! To leave, you need a cute item to give to the entity. So really to survive, you need two cute items. One to enter, and a second to give to the entity. If you don't have an item to give, you are practically stuck in this level.
I think Kitty is just trying to tell the human to leave and thats it. He can only move things but not sure if he can use it. Like the axe for example, probably Kitty knows that its a weapon humans use which is a symbol of hostility. He shows the Axe as a symbol of displeasure. He can manipulate the fridge as well to show that the human isnt welcomed anymore "no more free food". In the end he just took the camera especially when cameraman said he has no cute thing to give him and be like "fine that thing u have on your hand is cute enough. Whatever. Leave now."

If I was ever to end up in that level, I would honestly be the kindest I could to Kitty, and greatly thank him for everything he gives me.

If I were to end up on this level I would do my best to be kind to Kitty and to give them compliments, ask them questions (maybe they could answer by drawing on the wall or something) and overall would leave if they told me to the first time. I would also try to see what Kitty wants from me exactly, like try to understand why they are observing me, if they want to befriend me, or if they’re just looking for some company. I would also try talking to kitty even if they can’t reply. Maybe I’d say something like: “hey Kitty, if you don’t mind, may I chat with you for awhile? If you don’t want to hear me talk, teleport somewhere and I’ll just go do something else ^^”

Kitty had every right they could to be angry, The cameraman was basically abusing the hospitality Kitty offered for them by just, Sleep, Find something to eat, Watch TV, Eat, Repeat, They'll accept the occasional visitor for a day or two in Level 974 but not a full-on roommate, Besides they are probably aware of the fact only one person can be in Level 974 at once so someone staying permanently for the rest of existence would be incredibly unfair since everybody needs chance to kick back and relax especially in a place as unwelcoming and unhospitable as the Backrooms.

Actually, the original canon of Kitty's level doesn't show any hints of Kitty becoming hostile or angry if you stay too long. But I like to think that could potentially happen if someone starts abusing Kitty's hospitality and/or testing it's patience.
If I was in Kitty's shoes, I'd get pissed off too. You're allowed to stay here but not forever. This isn't your house so you must leave soon. You're abusing Kitty's kindness and hospitality and it is justified for kicking you out of its home

watching you curiously even in your sleep. Kitty can move very quickly and can teleport smoothly around the house. If you abuse his kindness he will get angry and also try to
kill you. If you manage to noclip into kitty's house stay for about a mouth then give him your cute item and you'll get sent to another safe level.
