    Nolan has been my favorite player for a very long time. Was extremely excited when he put on the Cards Uniform. Unfortunately the reality is he is getting older. Hitting hasn’t panned out for him in Busch. Sure his defense is still very high-quality but being 1 for 12 in the postseason is not a good stat line to have when you get paid that much money. I’ll still love the Cardinals if he’s not one. Just hope they don’t give him up for packing peanuts.

      But that’s the problem: since Mo has announced that Nado is getting traded, come hell or high water, all the other teams are going to lowball the hell out of us. Same thing happened with O’Neill.

    • @shawnkehoe1433
      @shawnkehoe1433 2 дня назад

      @@SteveDotson-ie5zgyeah it’s Nolan’s contract that’ll keep the cardinals from getting a lot in return not Mo saying what everyone else already knew was gonna happen, and O’Neill was an often injured bat that was on a expiring deal, we weren’t gonna get a lot for him either……

    I for one would hate to see Nado go. I'm hoping that he has a resurgence. I know that's thinking with my heart and not my head, but that's how I feel.

      He may very well be back. Mo was wishy washy about the trade idea and I don't see very many teams interested in him right now.

    Hey JD;
    Well at least we all know Arenado is available. Other than the Dodgers where might he want to go that he would waive his no trade clause?
    I do hope the best for him.

    If payroll's that big of an issue is St Louis ownership should consider selling the team

    1. M. Winn, SS
    2. Br. Donovan, LF
    3. I. Herrera, C
    4. W. Contreras, 1B
    5. Nootbaar, CF
    6. Al. Burleson, DH
    7. Jor. Walker, RF
    8. N. Gorman, 3B
    9. Tho. Saggese, 2B........................w/ a "to start the season" Bch. of P. Pages (C), Mi. Siani (OF), Ma. Koperniak (OF) & Ry. Vilade (Util.)

    SP1 - So. Gray
    SP2 - Fedde
    SP3 - Pallante

    SU - Ry. Fernandez
    2 LONG RPs - - - - Mikolas & Ma. Liberatore
    OTHER RPs - Jo. King, Roycroft & Ky. Leahy................Good chance that Rod. Munoz COULD land a 'pen spot over 1 of those 3.

      Statistically winn was the worst cardinal leadoff hitter since 1917. He had a 290 obp. Nootbar was in the top ten leadoff hitters in all of baseball in 23. Oli for some unknown reason did not give noot a single at bat leading off in 24. Love winn needs to be lower in the order IMHO

    • @FrenchCardsFan66
      @FrenchCardsFan66 4 дня назад

      I would switch Matz and Mikolas if only for health purpose and Matz having experience and success in the pen. Would liké to see what Noot can do in the leadoff spot.

      That proposed outfield would amass 45 RBI at best. Cardinals need hitters that can drive in runs.

  • @FrenchCardsFan66

    For me Arenado is declining. When you see his swings at the beginning of the year just launching the arms extended to try and touch the ball...
    What makes me laugh is his wishlist. Dodgers who dont need him, Padres also dont see a fit, Phillies only if Bohm goes and Mets for first if they don't get Alonso back. Then i see the red sox with not much to offer as competitive team and no room with Devers at 3B, Casas at 1B and Yoshida at DH. The most funny is, je wants to win but would agréé to go to the Angels who are flat bad with no hope to get better.
    Really hope we manage to trade him.
    I also don't like the way he and his agent are playing this situation which pretty much break any leverage for a trade for our front office.

  • @EdRadke
    @EdRadke 5 дней назад

    Arenado 2 1st cause his glove is needed n proven. I expect a come back season n vet. leadership. Nado does deserve a ring , but why not with CARDS since U all think this youth movement can do it. Hmmm. ??? Where's the per outside Gorman ,lot's of speed , no switch hitters or great contact hitters. Then Ace Gray get more wins with it's risky youth movement. Who knows till spring!! I do like Luken ar 1st if Arenado is traded ,but he stays 4 me n plays 1st.
