I love this episode to start the beautiful season it is and I hate when no one acknowledges Richie’s “YEAH BITCH” in the background and it’s such a delight to see that, great reaction you’re in for a great season for sure
Clear white boards can have stuff attached to the back, allowing you to mark on an image without actually marking the image. There's a few other good reasons to use one, but that's one of the main things that differentiate them from regular white boards.
I think it's easily missed as the show cuts to it for a brief moment but a lot of us wondered how Mike got the money in the cans. When Carmy goes down to find Richie, they showed us very briefly there was equipment to reseal cans down there. Just a small easily missed detail I wanted to point out.
Clear whiteboard is just less intrusive to store. I can line that up with a wall in my living room or behind a TV, and it doesn't draw much attention. More often, a friend gets wicked high and shouts "holy shit! Is that a clear whiteboard?"
there's a famous quote that goes "comparison is the thief of joy" and what you said about Richie reminds me of that quote. in real life, once we stop focusing on what others are doing and focus on what we want to do, things start to turn around. at least, that's how things have worked out for me. I'm excited for you to dig deeper into this season and these characters; the writing is just spectacular and just keeps getting better. 😃
Ritchie is far and away my favorite character. And watching back, the earlier episodes make what's coming next for him all the better. Wait and see. His turn around is even better than Tina's imo
Your words about the dangers of comparison are SO true and well said. When I was in my 20s and 30s, I was fully caught up in the rat race, and always taking note of what my peers were doing, and accomplishing. And feeling completely inadequate by comparison. That’s no way to live. It only leads to resentment and bitterness.
I don't see clear boards useful for what they are doing but I could see it useful for math and engineering. Where seeing it from a different angle is useful
