David Aja is another huge piece to why this book works so well. He’s one of my favorite comic book artists, and Matt Fraction, one of the writers he collaborated the most with, admitted in interviews that he prefers to give Aja very minimal directions in his script of how the art in certain pages should look. David Aja being given complete creative control for certain page layouts makes total sense because they look like complete artistic flexing. Aja is so imaginative and it’s wild how easily you can tell where Fraction just lets him run wild, because they’re some of those most gorgeous pages and panel layouts in the book.

That’s one of the biggest problems if ur an Artist, it’s so mentally draining that u have to take breaks. If u overwork urself u will start to notice ur skillz and creativity draining, it’s weird and something u can’t control. I can’t imagine how much pressure Proffesionals have to deal with, dealing with publishers,fans,critics,inspiring artist and ppl who love comic books? Always feeling u have to stay on top and not be able to put out ur on Art or create stuff for fun… once it becomes a job, it takes out all the fun about it for some reason? It sucks
Some great insight there Siner, it always pain me to hear the torment some of these professionals go through. I guess as the old saying goes, no pain no gain. I always have mad respect for these creators, and makes me sad when people throw shade at their hard work.
What sucks about the Netflix show is Finn Jones really could of been an amazing Iron Fist. It's like the writers forgot he defeated a LITERAL DRAGON to earn the Iron Fist powers lol

I loved the Iron fist from the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon, and get I first was starting to get into comics the Immortal Iron fist was one of the first comics I read and made me fall even more in love with the character, great video man

It’s such an amazing read, as is the Hawkeye run. I bought these originally in trade form, this omnibus edition looks gorgeous. Out of my collection of about 2500 graphic novels/trades, these are probably my favorites. I actually ended up making an Iron Fist cosplay.

Marvel really did save the Superhero Universe! But they were forced to make their on studio by Hollywood bcuz every time they wanted to make a project they had to use a Major studio company like MGM & Univeral, and they would basically loose all control. They wouldn’t let them Pic the director,Actors,writers or even allowed to have any input creatively… 😂 that was the only way they would get the Greenlight and find a budget for a studio to make it.
Marvel really stepped it up, the last 15 years have been insane, sure not everything they released was a banger, but the superhero universe blew up to a whole new level. I hope we continue to see more exciting projects come to life in the years to come.

This is iron fist’s best run. I have all the paperbacks, this is what the Netflix series should have been. 👊 John Amon is the goat!
