I'm living in a old 97 5th wheel that has no electrical lights. Just battery lights. I can not use the hot water as a pipe or fixing has broke. My toilet is 1/2 broken, my furnace, oven and stove dont. I paid a RV man $600 to fix my electrical but he didn't. You can't find anyone too work on RVs unless you take them in. I'm working on an ap for low income to get an apartment. On the positive side, I have a propane heater, fridge and microwave. I have my lil dog and cat to go home to so life is good. I just am tired and beat down. Your story makes me sad, but makes me happy too. You picked me up and give me hope. Thank you 😊

I’m almost 50 and still healing from this. It was terrible that the interviewer made Jennifer feel responsible for mending the relationship. There is no reason a child has to reconcile with a toxic parent who has not changed and said sorry. Forgiveness does not mean reconciliation.

I have heard from many tell me I must make up with my mother because when she dies I will feel bad. I don’t understand that at all. I have already grieved the fact that I never had a mother who loved me. My mother has never had a good word to say about me. She resented me, gaslighted me, criticized me, gossiped about me. I have gone mostly no contact...only seeing her briefly a couple of times a year although we live in the same area. I am better this way. I only let Empaths and people who support me in my circle. I am no longer anyone’s punching bag. I am finally happy.

I went to counselling, and studied a lot about NPD, and I absolutely raised my son in a loving and supportive environment. He is 21 now, and we have the best relationship...we always have. Those of us who have lived through narcissistic abuse understand us, others may not. We need to value how WE feel, and not accept the judgement of those who have no clue about what we have been through. I am not heartless, quite the opposite, I gave too much of my heart to those who did not deserve it. When I realized that many friends and family were narcs, I cut them from my life. I don’t allow narcissists in my life. Period. It is so much better this way.
